Extremely sketchy and dishonest company.
I ordered an item from France & Son that was supposed to arrive within a few weeks. After placing the order and paying for shipping, I was informed that the item was backordered and wouldn’t be shipped for 2-3 months—this was never mentioned during the checkout process, which felt very misleading.
To make matters worse, I found the exact same item from a different company that could deliver it sooner, so I reached out to France & Son to cancel my order. However, canceling the order turned into a huge hassle. I had to email them multiple times, and it took far longer than it should have for them to respond. Eventually, they processed the cancellation, but I was left without the item I ordered for weeks, all while dealing with their poor customer service.
Although I received a refund for the item, they are refusing to refund the steep shipping costs. This is especially frustrating because:
The item was never shipped to me,
The item was backordered for months,
I had to jump through hoops to get the order canceled in the first place.
It’s clear that France & Son does not prioritize customer satisfaction or transparency. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me feeling misled and cheated. I will never order from them again, and I highly recommend avoiding this company if you value reliable service...
Read moreI purchased a black lamp from the France & Son website. When I received the lamp, the box was marked black but the lamp is not black; the lamp is a gray metallic color. I have purchased two other black lamps from France & Son that were black. When I sit this lamp beside it, it is not black. I am aware that I would have to pay a restocking fee if I had buyer's remorse. In this case, I am not returning the lamp for buyer's remorse — the lamp is not the color that was advertised. I asked for a refund for the full refund without having to pay a restocking fee and was told that my eyes are wrong and somehow the lamp is black and they would not give me the full refund. Now, they want me to sign a document that binds me to the refund minus the restocking fee before I can return the lamp to them. I have no problem adhering to the restocking fee if I had changed my mind, but this is not my fault, so I do not want to pay for...
