Shari cut my hair. Friendly. Super talkative. Had a lot in common too, apparently. It’s a small world after all. Forgot I even needed a haircut. Anyway, she seems to really care about her work. I started to notice that immediately and I always appreciate a human being who cares about their work. She listened to what I wanted in terms of my desired hair length that I needed chopped and hair thickness and how I wanted my layers cut. That was all great. She kept repeating the same things over and over again in our conversation which made me feel a little uncomfortable and told me maybe she was a little nervous.

It looked like she was leveling off and making sure my hair length was even on all sides. Great. Haircut seemed fine up until the very end. Shari seemed like she had some weird agenda. I’ll explain. She suddenly seemed like she was rushing to get me out of her chair. It was the weirdest thing. Maybe she was having an off day? I normally put most of my trust in people doing the right thing without having to be told, especially for grown adults. From 1 adult to another, please do your job. And do it well, or let someone else get the business. Please don’t bring your personal issues to work and take your personal problems out on your clients. Thanks.

Shari started snipping away at my bangs, like an absurd amount, and mind you, my bangs were already pretty short when I first walked in the salon. When I say short, I already had a fringe on. I love my bangs. I feel like they compliment my face very well. All I wanted was for her to trim my bangs just enough to make them a little more even, since she seemed super knowledgeable with hair and kept telling me how beautiful my hair was and I had great genetics. Okay? Thanks? That’s cool and all, but what is the point in saying all that just to rush in the end to butcher my bangs? Seems shady and suspicious to me. Make it make sense.

With Shari sharing that she has been a hairdresser for 30+ years, you would think she would understand if you keep snipping off bangs and making them a little bit shorter than the client’s desired look, it wouldn’t be the best look for said client as the hair keeps drying. She should know that being such an experienced hairdresser. I think it’s almost insulting to think she didn’t know what she was doing after all this time. I know that, and I never went to hair school a day in my life.

First off, I never let anyone touch my hair. I need to stop putting all my faith in the wrong people. Lol. This woman ends up snipping off so much, and me being the super kind and considerate woman I am, should have taken a closer look at the finished cut. I paid $67.44 just to go to my car and sit in the parking lot while brushing off a bunch of tiny little hairs off my forehead. This was completely unacceptable for her to let me leave the salon like that. You didn’t think to help brush off a bunch of tiny excess hairs off my forehead before letting me leave your salon? That’s wild. If I had taken a closer look, my tip for her would have been closer to $5 than $10.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love my hair and appreciate her work for what it was. It just wasn’t the best. I get it, it’s just hair and hair grows back out. That’s not the point. The point is Shari was not as careful and considerate and detailed as I would have preferred her to be. Please pay closer attention to your clients before you let them leave the salon.

Not sure if she does this with ALL her clients, as I saw some wonderful reviews about this place overall. I have been seeing April (the owner), Heather, and Caitlin for the last 15 years. Here’s a not-so-brief, but very necessary review.

This ultra chic, glamorous, modern salon is so welcoming the moment you enter the place. Shelves stocked with nothing but the industry’s best products for sale, and a friendly receptionist willing to assist.

The stylists can easily translate your wants and descriptions into incredible hairstyles/hair colors. Their expertise in blonde coloring is incredible. My hair stays a beautiful platinum blonde from one service to the next. They specialize in foil highlights, root smudges, balayages, color match, color corrections… they do it ALL. Their UNFILTERED social media speaks for itself! @blisssalon (IG). Aside from color, I also have the keratin express done every few months which is PERFECT for the summer. They know exactly which products and treatments to apply to my hair!

I’ve also had my fair share of blowouts and updo’s done for more formal events. They achieve the EXACT style you want.. whether you have a picture or an idea. UPDO STYLES HOLDING THROUGH 12 hour days? Unheard of!!!!! Need them to add your own clip in extensions for that special event? No problem, they add a perfect amount, and it looks so natural.

I love bliss salon! I’ve been coming here for a while now. April is so sweet and accommodating. She always goes above and beyond with customer service! Always so welcoming in the salon! Treats you like she’s known you forever (love that) She’s the best. So about my hairstylist Sydney. She’s so talented, sweet and adorable. She did a beautiful job on my hair. I came in with an inspo pic and she literally did better than the inspo! 😍😍 I couldn’t be more thrilled with how she did! From the color to the cut she aced it! She did so fantastic. ❤️And she even showed me how to curl my hair the way she did so I can do it at home! So basically In a nutshell. I love bliss salon. I always get treated so well. And Sydney is a great hair stylist ! And she’s the sweetest and so easy to talk to and willing to answer all your questions!
