Sung Wo Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

This place is a rip off. The menu list CHICKEN FINGERS. What you get is a bag of sweet and sour chicken. When I approached them about it I was told "Its the same batter used to make Sweet and Sour chicken". Wait right here while I go tell KFC they have been making the batter wrong for their chicken fingers. Chicken fingers are also made with breading. So I guess if they come to my restaurant (meaning my homemade Italian cooking) and ask for Ravioli, I should give them Manicotti and tell them "Hey its the same pasta and cheese". Also ordered General Tso's chicken with white meat. All it was was sweet and sour chicken smothered in General Tso sauce. Was also told by them "We've been here for 50 yrs". Well I'm 51 and trust me chicken fingers were NOT on a chinese food menu was I was a kid. Stick to what you know. Oh wait, nevermind that didn't work...

House special mei fun turned my wife's face red. She only has this reaction with low quality seafood (3rd time in her life)...but I figured this could be just her and I chalked it up as that until the next morning.

I had sesame chicken and fried wontons. I haven't left the bathroom since 5am. We've had Sung Wo before. Usually pretty good tasting Chinese, but now I think they have some freshness and quality issues. Throwing away the leftovers.

This was actually their second strike for us. Not too long ago we ordered mei fun with medium spice and it was inedible. My wife wanted a little spicy, I like very spicy and it was too much for me. Figured we'd try again and now this. 2 better options in Rocky Point that I will be getting myself if not on doordash. Never ordering...

Decided to try this place tonight for the first time and overall it’s not bad. I ordered the combo sesame chicken and crab &cheese wontons. The wontons and vegetable fried rice were very good, however the sesame chicken was ok. It was not white meat chicken which was disappointing. Apparently you have to ask for white meat chicken which is an additional $1.50 per their menu. I do have to say it the coating of the chicken was crunchy and had plenty of flavor. The reason why I’m only giving three stars is because of the chicken issue and they did not give any soy sauce packets. I will be back again because the rest of the food was delicious but will make those slight...
