I had gone to the diamond district in the city, Jareds, other jewelry boutiques etc. and had compared at least 30 other diamonds. It was tedious and the whole experience became confusing and convoluted. I wanted the BEST for my fiance. I decided to visit R&S. I had been there before for other jewelry needs, purchases, repairs, and advice. They were always straight-forward and reliable. Rob and Rich showed me some of the diamonds they had for sale that fit my specs. They even searched and traveled to other diamond dealers to find diamonds that fit my budget and expectations. Essentially, they streamlined the process for me, simplified the decision-making, and made it clear which qualities were most important. They were patient and answered all my questions. They let me compare diamonds, see them in different settings and in different lighting until I was satisfied. They never pressured me with any sales tactics. I ended up buying a GIA certified diamond from them AND had them design and mold a custom ring to set it in. It was stunning! It came out more amazing then I expected. All the minuscule natural diamond imperfections, cut, clarity, color, polish, symmetry, fluorescence, proportions and so on, that you get caught up in when researching diamonds are just not that important when you have an expert jeweler to advise you. My fiance loves her ring. Shes obsessed with it. I told her that I would change the setting if its not perfect for her, but she is more than happy with how the vision and design came to form with Rob and Richs' help. I spoke with Robert on the phone and he was very eager to help. I met in the store with his father, Richard and he was the best jeweler I’ve ever encountered. He was knowledgeable with 40 years of experience, but what impressed my mother, sister and I, was how much he really cares about doing the right thing for his customers.
