Gyro Palace Cafe — Restaurant in Town of Brookhaven

I live in patchogue, this gem is in rocky point. A good 1/2 hr away.well I get my neice from school up there. Love greek,early for school. Go into GRYO PALACE CAFE. Best stop I ever made.....I ordered a gyro,extra sauce,and a baklava....OMG.I THOUGHT I WAS IN ATHENS.. the portions are enormous. Prices are excellent for the amount your getting.next time dinner there with my husband. The "woman"owner very very sweet..her brother is her boss!!!! Lol lol exceptional. Had my boyfriend place an order at four o’clock on the dot lol! New hours because I’m sure like most restaurants with food cost going up and people involving their political views instead of reviewing the food and hospitality it probably has become too expensive toto be open all day. Now to the point of a review for a restaurant, their food is so fresh and delicious HOMEMADE and authentic to Greece what saddens me is the idea that places like this could be destroyed for over processed microwaveable food. For reference I ordered the hummus, cheese pie, two Greek salads, gyro meat and souvlaki, all were seasoned by hand and noticeably made from scratch! Just enjoying my left...

My family member bought a chicken souvlaki and baklava today for lunch takeout. Any time this family member has been there the food has always been good. Today it was absolutely awful! The onions were not sauteed like usual. The person working the counter threw them into the souvlaki raw. The side dish of rice was inedible and tasted like it was days old. The baklava was as hard as a brick and also inedible. She was "too nice" to call and complain which is why I'm writing the review. I felt bad for her because she paid $20 for food that ended up in...
