I have been looking for employment now for about 90 days. I know, I need to pump those numbers up.
But Its absolutely crazy this is the reality of which we are living. Let alone the abundance of fake jobs out there to begin with. The need for experience yet you cant get the experience, then on top of this what really is experience to begin with? I was terminated from my last position because I worked the "fake" out of the role. Got everything that needed to be done in less than 6 months and it created an abundance of "down time". With the employers claiming that they would get busy in the summer and slows down in the winter.
Well if you already have everything set and keep the items you need on hand at the set min/max of your inventory, really the only thing left after that is the sales. And trust me there are 1000s of ways you can be prepared for thee sale including expected usage for the season from your customer base. (forcasting).
Really not that hard in any industry. But instead the employer felt it more necessary to create abundances of "fake work" within the already abundant "fake work" by telling their long term employees to play dumb, and too intentionally mess with the inventory numbers of their products. Along with telling their customer base to also "Play dumb" when they would come into our store, by either intentionally not having the required information to help them, or to draw out redundant conversations that dont even pertain to the industry of which we work. The Job I worked was for a parts department for a lawn and garden shop in Middleton Wi. The owner and his kids would intentionally not count inventory correctly during cycle counts, and would also intentionally put parts back in the wrong bin locations. Just creating more and more fake work to be fixed. As a Parts Manager for the past 12 years, I know very well how a parts department works and functions and what work needs to be done and when. So the owner and his children would just constantly keep throwing wrenches into a fully capable and functional department. Then also not having any access to the p&l or the pricing matrixes for parts pricing. After catching this multiple times I was then let go.....Magical. Which then puts me into the recruiting hell we are in now for no fault of my own. How is this the reality? And how do employers keep getting away with this type of behavior? I have plenty more stories of redundant behaviors such as these. Anyone else have these same kinds of...
Read moreAfter a long series of events with a failed purchase at Home Depot, we had found out through my father that Middleton Powe Center (MPC) had the new lawnmower we wanted, in stock and at a good price. Unfortunately, we live closer to the Sun Prairie location (Prairie Power Center / PPC) and so dropped by there first to see if they also had it in stock (nobody would answer when I called, letting the phone ring for minutes on end) before driving over to Middleton. Turns out, PPC also did have it -- but at $150-200 more than MPC, despite being sister locations of the same store. The PPC employee was rude and entirely dismissive of the fact that we had seen a lower price on the same mower at MPC that very morning, and simply let us walk instead of trying to contact the other location to verify pricing and availability to possibly match, or even trying in ANY other to make the sale with us. So we happily drove across town for that price savings, in addition to not wanting to give this guy our business, and had a 100% better experience at MPC with incredibly friendly, good natured and helpful employees. We were in and out in no time with the mower we wanted at the price we wanted, and MPC set up and verified it ran properly for us before we loaded it up into the truck and left. Long story short, MPC is GREAT but PPC honestly sucks, so make sure you hit up the right guys for your power...
Read moreSold me a mower last summer. I have mowed with it 5 times.
Wonât stay running, if the height adjusters are not all the way at the highest settings, it will stall before completing a full pass.
No side skirt on a $600 mower, so bagging is my only option, as the recycler canât keep up. But the bag Shute becomes clogged immediately if the grass is not powder dry.
Usually I get 3/4 done before the mower will no longer start for the day, resulting in me having finish another day.
Fresh gas (only non ethanol gas), oil, and a new blade this year. Same shit as last year, donât buy a toro, or at least from this place. I had to but a new mower because they couldnât find parts for my two year old mower when I went...
