I had an experience today that I felt compelled to share. While checking out, my child accidentally dropped a yogurt container, which broke upon hitting the floor. I was fully prepared to pay for the item, as accidents happen. However, based on my experiences at other grocery stores — where staff have typically been courteous and replaced similar items without issue — I was surprised by the response I received.

Instead of offering a replacement, the checkout staff simply taped the broken container and told me it was fine to take as-is. This was concerning, as the container had clearly hit the floor and was visibly damaged.

Beyond the disappointing customer service, I believe this raises potential health and safety concerns. A broken container that has come into contact with the floor could easily be contaminated with bacteria, and the use of adhesive tape directly on food packaging introduces the risk of chemical contamination. In the end, I chose to purchase a new container and paid for both.

This experience left me disappointed, not only in the service but in the apparent disregard for basic food...

This place is unbelievable, I was amazed upon entering it to see the different kinds of things they gad. I spent a long time there shopping, their price's in compression to the other stores are 100% cheaper. I was able to get long fresh Okras in bulk and could not believe the price. The Beans, Peas and Grains are unbelievable, so many different types of Flour, Can and Bottle products. I went back this week for mor produces, and has decided that this is my new Store, so I am recommending Maharaja Nanuet Farmers Market to anyone looking for Fresh Food and other products. Linda...
