I placed an online order for some makeup with Kohl’s on August 30, 2025 and never received it. A full month later, when my credit card statement came, I saw the $84.53 charge on my credit card statement and called customer service. Instead of taking responsibility and issuing a refund, I was told they would simply “reship” the makeup. The customer service representative said a refund wasn't an option and her computer wasn't allowing her to do the refund. So I asked for a supervisor who could surely override that, an issue the refund. The representative flat-out refused, saying a supervisor would tell me the same thing, that I’d have to wait for the replacement, then physically return it to the store if I didn’t want it. I never even got the chance to speak to a supervisor.
Here’s the problem: by then I had already purchased makeup elsewhere (and to qualify for free shipping I had to order multiple bottles that will last me nine months). Why would I want Kohl’s to send me something I no longer need, only to force me to drive to the store to return it? That’s completely unreasonable.
I am currently dealing with health issues and cannot drive, so being told I need to inconvenience myself (or someone else) to fix their mistake is unacceptable. First, Kohl’s failed to deliver the original order. Then, instead of fixing their mistake, they put the burden on me, a customer currently handicapped and unable to drive, to arrange a return for something I never received in the first place. That means I would have to inconvenience someone else to drive me to Kohl’s to clean up their error.
When a company fails to ship an order, the correct response is to issue a refund, not force the customer through hoops and extra trips. Kohl’s customer service should have rectified this immediately. Very poor experience, and they’ve lost my trust. Kohl’s should value their customers enough to do the obvious right thing: refund an order that was never delivered. Instead, their rigid, unhelpful approach cost them not just this sale but my...
Read moreI shopped at the Kohl’s Clifton Park/Halfmoon location today, a few of the kids lego sets caught my eye that I wanted to purchase, however to my surprise, there were no prices listed.. the ones I was interested in were not listed on the digital “sale” screen on the shelves, nor was there any prices on the lego boxes, I asked an employee why none of these toys have a price and she tells me the “goal” is for us customers to “download the app” basically to look it up ourselves, waste storage on our phones downloading apps just to find out a price on our own. This is absurd, I asked to speak to a manager, of course no one responded to the front employees request and eventually the same employee came up to “assist”, at which point I just walked out, went to Walmart and got the $120 worth of lego sets that were clearly price marked on the shelves.. at WALMART, and, unlike Kohl’s, I did not have to “download an app” to find this out. That will be the last time I attempt to shop anything in the toy department at Kohl’s, or ANY department that does not disclose prices and shifts that responsibility to me. Customers should not have to download apps and do their own research to find out what something costs. If that’s the case, then have a well seen pricing scanner right next to each aisle like Target does. We shouldn’t even need that. The prices should be listed and stop wasting everyone’s time. The lego sets were about half the price at Walmart anyway so there’s that. Oh, and I’m told they will soon convert to “self checkout”, go figure, just shift the last bit of customer service onto the customer, as if having to download apps to research and play a scavenger hunt for prices on our own wasn’t enough. What a terrible...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Kohl's, I was highly disappointed with the state of the store. As someone who shops here frequently, it was disheartening to see how disorganized and messy it was on this particular occasion. The lack of organization was evident throughout the store, making it difficult to find items or navigate the aisles efficiently.
To address my concerns, I requested to speak with the manager. Unfortunately, when the manager finally came, they informed me that everyone was busy, leaving me feeling unheard and frustrated. The lack of attention and assistance from the staff further added to my disappointment. Despite walking around the store multiple times, no one greeted me or offered to help, which is not the level of service I am accustomed to at Kohl's.
Moreover, I noticed that even the store's technology and health products were excessively dirty, which was quite off-putting. This lack of cleanliness and attention to detail made the shopping experience even more unpleasant.
I was particularly disappointed by the manager's lack of customer service and accountability. In a situation like this, I expected the manager to take responsibility and address the concerns promptly, but that was not the case.
While I have had positive experiences at Kohl's in the past, this recent visit left me feeling let down. I hope that the management and staff will take the necessary steps to improve the organization and cleanliness of the store, as well as prioritize customer service and...
