A & S Fine Foods — Local services in Town of Cortlandt

This place reminds me of the shops I used to frequent growing up in Brooklyn. And while I know those are hard shoes to fill, this place doesn't come close. Consistently messes up easy sandwich orders, flavorless and over priced sides that should be easy (like how do you mess up macaronis salad). And over charge at that!

Almost everything else is way over priced and differs depending on who helps you. Just paid 11.40 for literally 2 bites of EggPlant Parm. Never again going here.

Stopped by to grab a sandwich to take to the Gorge, and I thought the store was delightful! I wish I’d been able to carry more, so I could have taken some of the pastas and dry goods home to Brooklyn. The bread was fabulous, and this sandwich is light years better than a rather sad caprese sandwich I got at Eataly this week. A&S Deli Croton on the Hudson is wonderful! I'm in TN and wanted to order meals for relatives who live in Ossining, NY. Calling long distance to order something special and hoping those on the other end are pleasant and trustworthy can go either way. My experience was incredible!
