Luxury without community feels cheap
Dipyque in East Hampton sat out Halloween 2025 while the whole village showed up for the kids. Independent shops and small cafés put out buckets, decorated windows, and made it magical. The luxury house on the block could not be bothered to spend roughly $200 on candy.
It is embarrassing. It is about being part of a community that supports you year round. When the village asks for one simple night of joy for local families, you either show up or you show your priorities. Dipyque chose the latter.

When she called the store back the next day, she was told she can ship the perfume back for a full refund. They confirmed the acceptance, but started avoiding answering the phone. They lied multiple times that at first it was sent in the mail but got lost, then claiming that it was issued, then saying it will be issues and so on.
