The Flower Shop of Tryforos and Pernice — Local services in Town of Eastchester

My husband and I have been ordering flowers from this shop for years. This year they really let us down for our anniversary.

My husband wanted to do something very special for me, and wanted it to be a surprise. Instead of delivering the flowers at 5 PM as instructed they decided to call ahead. That is understandable because they did not want the arrangement sitting in the heat.

However, they called 2 times through out the day from different numbers BUT NEVER LEFT A Voicemail. I did not think anything of the calls because the caller did not leave a voicemail. I only called back the missed calls when my husband asked me if I received anything.

So I called back the number, and the woman I spoke to was so incredibly rude. We eventually arranged for the flowers to be delivered but it was stressful, and the timing was off, and quite frankly really frustrating.

In an ideal world the shop would have called once, and left a message that I had a delivery. I would have called back and said they could deliver the arrangement at 5 AS THEY WERE INSTRUCTED.

But instead it was all confused and botched and quite a hassle. Plus dealing with rude staff.

It really left us with a bad impression and I would never use this shop again.

My husband later told me that they did not even get back to him about the order he placed. He actually had to follow up with them to make sure it was confirmed.

So for all the money this shop charges, and trust me, it is significant, you do not get customer service, or clear communications. And when I finally did get my flowers the vase they were in was actually really dirty, so you do not even get a quality arrangement.

This order was a huge fail for us. It is not typical as we have shopped there for years, but it was enough for us to give our business to a different establishment.

Living in California and ordering flowers for a friend in Bronxville seemed daunting. I decided to try Tryforos and Pernice because they were so close to my friends home. I usually order things on line ... click, click and your done, often never speaking to anyone and being limited to a super short note to include. It was so nice to call and speak to Gary. "Old school" personal touch that you don't realize you miss until you go back to it. I explained what I was looking for and how much I wanted to spend. Knowledgable and friendly he listened and made suggestions. Gary was very agreeable and I was able to email him a longer note that I wanted to include. Without even requesting it he even emailed me a photo of what he delivered, which I loved and really appreciated. The arrangement was simple, elegant, lovely and just what I had wanted. I even received an immediate note from my friend noting how lovely the orchid was. Professional, kind and talented, I high recommend Tryforos...

Gary and his family did the flowers for our wedding with an immaculate eye for detail, quality, and esthetics.

We were married in Central Park. They went above and beyond to create an even lovelier outdoor atmosphere by decorating the pavilion beautifully, and placing rose petals throughout down the path of our procession.

Our centerpieces were created with the highest quality of flowers and more beautiful than we could have imagined. They gave us everything we asked for and more.

I was delightfully surprised to have delivered to me, the bridal bouquet I had so hoped for, a simple arrangement of Lilies of the Valley, which in July was very difficult to obtain.
