Mark at Leonardo Furniture is not someone you want to deal with; he is very unethical, dishonest. He LIED TO ME, to trick me into buying a very expensive item.
I was very uncertain about purchasing an almost $2,000 media console, from a photo in a catalogue. I said I would agree to purchase it ONLY if I could return it, if it didnât look good in the room. He hesitated for a second, then said, âOk, I can sell this.â
I ordered it - & it does not look good in the room. I called Mark - & he went back on his word - said it was âpast 3 daysâ (itâs 4 days - in an empty apt; we didnât move in yet). *He had NOT said ANYTHING about any 3-day limit, at the time of purchase. Not a single word. He now will not take it back. He nastily told me, âHave a good day,â & hung up on me! He acted like a typical nasty con artist.
The furniture in the store was the ugliest Iâve ever seen - extremely gaudy, tacky, I donât even know what style youâd call this stuff. Looks like early 90s Atlantic City Casino, black & gold, shiny, extremely flashy, made with visibly cheap materials. I almost turned & walked right back out, but Mark quickly whipped out a catalog, & started showing me normal-looking furniture.
Do not believe anything Mark says. He will say anything to get you to make a purchase, does not care if you like it or not. Horrible businessman. Worst experience Iâve ever had buying anything, anywhere. Any furniture store would be better than this.
*To the response: MORE LIES!! During that phone call, I told Mark that I HAD NOT YET SEEN THE PIECE; I explained that we had not moved into the otherwise empty apt, & I was not there when it was delivered. I did NOT say I was âvery happyâ about anything!!!!!! I said I HAD NOT SEEN IT YET. You are a LIAR.
Mark, you promised me, when I very reluctantly agreed to buy it, that I could DEFINITELY RETURN IT if it turned out to be not right fit us. Iâm sure you remember me specifically stating, âThe only way Iâm comfortable buying this is if I know I can return it, if necessary.â You did NOT say anything about âwithin 3 days!!!â Not a word. It has only been 4 days - & the tv unit has been literally untouched, in a completely empty apt - & yet you wonât take it back - after you promised you would.    Read moreI originally bought from Leonardoâs around 2009 or 2010 from the Green Acres store that is now closed. I initially bought a living room set from them. They were very professional and the furniture was great. So I decided to purchase a bedroom set from them ......due to the Green acres store being closed I went to the Rockville center location , the owner was very nice at the time and I shared with him how happy I was with my living room set that I had to come back to his company. Moving forward I purchased a bedroom set for my 12 year old daughter.....her bedroom set was delivered in March of this year at the end of September the bottom piece that holds up her boxspring broke. I called the store to let them know and the lady said to send her pictures which I did once she received it she said she would send someone out that Friday to fix the bed. Thursday came I didnât get any phone call confirming anyone was coming out to fix it. I called the store to see what was the status she said theyâre backed up and she doesnât know when anyone was going to come out... I was pissed! I asked her to speak to the owner and she told me the owner wasnât there so I said I would call back. After I hung up the owner who she said wasnât there called me back accusing me of threatening his stafff..... and he said he doesnât have to do anything for me he would do it out of courtesy (his exact words) and as soon as they have delivery in my neighborhood they would come and fix the bed. I said so my daughter should be without a bed for months. He said no if not this weekend it will be next week. Today is next week still no call, nor an update. My personal opinion is as long as their getting your money theyâre nice, but as soon as you have an issue they become nasty. I know things happen and Iâm more upset of how they went about handling this situation. I use to speak highly of this company but not anymore...they lost...

I initially bought a king-size bed frame. At the time of payment, I was surprised to be handed an unboxed bed frame. The owner assured me that, despite the lack of original packaging, all components were intact and in good condition. However, upon assembling the bed frame at home, I discovered that two of the legs were broken.
I returned to the store to address the issue. Although the owner initially insisted that I must have damaged the frame during assembly, he eventually agreed to replace it with a new boxed version after a lengthy discussion.
Unfortunately, the replacement bed frame was of extremely poor quality. Once assembled, it felt fragile and unstable under the weight of our king-size mattress. Each time my husband and I laid on the bed, it shifted uncomfortably. As a parent of two young children under the age of four, I became genuinely concerned about the potential safety risk, especially the possibility of the frame collapsing.
I returned once more to the store to return the second frame and voiced my concerns to the owner. He responded dismissively, stating I was the first person to return this product, and insisted on deducting 35% from my refund. The interaction quickly became hostile. Both my mother and I were treated disrespectfully and given a very difficult time. After prolonged discussion, the owner agreed to issue a refund and told me never to return to the store.
This entire experience was frustrating and deeply unprofessional. I will not be returning to this establishment and do not recommend it to others based on both product quality and the customer...
