In late 2018, I was faced with the task of finding the absolute perfect engagement ring for my now fiance. I had been doing loads of research for about 3 months online and I finally mustered up the courage to start going to actual retail locations near me.

I want to start off by saying that I went to many box jewelry stores that you see commercials on TV for (Jared, Kay, Helzberg, etc.). I was surprised that they are mostly scams and they try to close the sale as soon as possible without really trying to help the customer reach their goals. These places will tell you that they are cutting their prices to try and keep up with online jewelers because they have less overhead without a store front. It sounds realistic, but DO NOT fall for this garbage!!

After a few frustrating trips to many jewelers on Long Island (including private jewelers that did not want to listen to my specific requests), I found myself at a highly recommended and reputable jeweler called FROM ITALY WITH LOVE. From the moment I stepped into this store, I was treated with respect and true care. All of my questions were answered truthfully and whenever I made suggestions based on information that I found online, it was handled professionally.

What I mean by this is that I found a very large amount of information regarding diamonds online and I brought just about every word to Ron's attention. He told me straight up what is true and what is not and took hours of his time to educate me on diamonds, aftercare, ongoing maintenance, etc. Jeff also spent a lot of time researching diamond specifications that I was interested in within my budget (which I must have changed 4 times on them). They were very patient and super helpful.

I walked out of the store after the final payment with the biggest sigh of relief and I have to say that I do not see myself going anywhere else for jewelry for as long as I live on Long Island. My fiance and I went in to the store after she said yes and the ring was resized for free and while we were standing there within about 30 minutes. By far the best jeweler on Long Island and highly highly highly reputable. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you don't step foot in here when looking for any type of jewelry. My husband bought my engagement ring here back in 2014 and Ron and Jeff were fantastic! They took the time to really help pick out the perfect ring. My husband up purchasing it and it was beautiful. We then came back for our wedding bands that still look gorgeous 10 years later.

We then came back a few years later to purchase a gold necklace and bracelet with a cross pendent for my baby boy’s christening. My husband also bought a matching set for himself. I found the experience underwhelming and not so welcoming. Everyone’s entitled to a bad day but after buying our rings here, and now buying jewelry for another milestone, it didn’t feel the same. However, we purchased the jewelry.

A year later I came back to buy a diamond cross pendent for my god daughter and a bracelet for myself. I was trying to pick out the perfect gift and was spending a good amount of money. So I took my time picking it out and they seemed annoyed I was taking a bit to make a decision. I then told Him I would come back with my best friend so she can pick it out for her daughter as a gift from me and they seemed very annoyed I didn’t pick anything. I promised I’d come back, in which I did and purchased the pendent, along with a bracelet for myself.

I stress the examples bc we wanted to Make this place our personal jeweler for all the milestones we had in our life. Engagement, our wedding bands, Our kids jewelry, etc. However, it was very apparent that the customer service has declined. I could not be more impressed with From Italy With Love!!! My Fiancé recently had my engagement ring custom made there & the result completely blew my expectations out of the water!!!

Jeff, the owner, was the most patient, meticulous & detail oriented human being I have ever met. He painstakingly went over ever possible detail to ensure my ring would be even better than I imagined.

I feel it’s also extremely significant to note, although we received the most personal custom service, the price was more than reasonable. My Fiancé, unbeknownst to me, selected a larger diamond for my ring & it still came in under budget. I am a knowledgeable & careful shopper and I will be shopping at From Italy With Love for all of our jewelry & watches going forward.

I actually didn’t need to purchase my Fiancé’s wedding band yet, however upon experiencing the selection & prices I bought it here on the spot. Upon picking up our rings last weekend, I actually stopped at the bakery to get a cookie tray for Jeff. I am simply that level of thrilled!

In closing, I am not from Long Island. I moved here to be with my Fiancé. I was terrified he would go & get ripped off at a chain jewelry store for my engagement ring. So I did the research.
