US Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

One of the best bagels on long Island. The prices are fair and the food is delicious. The coffee is also top notch.

The staff is friendly and fast, and your order will always come out right.

I've been going here for years but I can't give my last star because there is one flaw in the service: If you ask them to slice an onion for you, or dice a tomato, they'll tell you NO! They prep their food ahead of time, like everyone else, so their onions are diced and their to tomatoes are sliced. However, they have whole onions and tomatoes there, so they can give you what you want, which 90%+ places would do for you. I think the customer should always be right with such a reasonable request so it's tough for me to give them 5 stars.

If you want a good bagel and coffee in the morning with a smile, come here! Just don't ask for...

This place just pissed me off!!! I ordered 2 bagels and was specific with my order because I'm anal retentive like that. The order was made to go. When I got to my destination with my order I saw that there was ketchup on both of the orders when I specifically said NO ketchup. When I call them about their mistake instead of acknowledging it the young Asian guy who I never saw before and said he wasn't a new employee, lied again and said that he asked me twice about the ketchup when that was not true. Then he hung up on me!!! Suffice it to say it's probably the owners relative and they should reconsider having him in their business. I will never go...

Very bad experience. I asked for a grilled cheese sandwich a bacon egg and cheese and all the cheese from both sandwiches came back cold and not melted. When I spoke with some Spanish guy he told me I needed to tell them that I wanted the cheese melted. I did not know I had to specify that for a grilled cheese sandwich. I gave them another shot and ordered a scrambled egg and bacon platter with butter toast and extra bacon. I got an omelette with 4 strips of bacon don’t know what happened to the extra bacon and the butter toast came...
