I wanted to share an experience today at The Farm Stand on Lakeland (technically, Railroad Ave). At the end of April, 2022 I purchased about $500 in perennials. Hydrangea, Salvia, Lavender. Fast forward to today. Most of the Salvia and Lavender are dead. I didn’t have the original register receipt so I printed my debit card transactions, took photos and went to talk to them. My hope was they could first tell me why things died and whether there was something else I should I plant. I also thought that they might give a discount on anything I bought to replace what died. They told me the plants weren’t being watered enough and that they needed to be watered every 7-10 days. At this point I wasn’t getting into a debate involving historical rainfall since April 🙄 No help, no suggestions and, for someone that spent $500, extremely rude. I’m sure people try to return things all the time because of their own negligence. Wasn’t my case. I’ve bought annuals and perennials from that stand for 11 years. I know ownership changed… regardless, never again. Any recommendations besides...

I consider myself a loyal customer during the Summer months as been going to this Farm Stand for years, dating back to the previous owners.
I was particularly taken back when the owner limited the amount of strawberries I could take because the season was dwindling down. It was a humid day and I guess the thinking was let the heat get too them so they would rot. I love Long Island strawberries and have never been limited on the amount that I could buy, this time was told 3, I wanted six so I went out East and got unlimited amount…went with 4. There was no signage posted on the limit being enforced…I was told to come back the next day for two and the next day for two when the forecast was for high heat which would mean no more...

And I forgot to mention the bread that we got there with no date. We got home and it was hard as a rock and crumbling in pieces. Went out East to get some peaches, they were as...
