Very underwhelming experience. The web site boasts the trail rides show hundreds of acres of scenic views of the Grand Geneva Property but this couldn't be further from the truth. The 45 minute trail ride went through the back side of the perimeter of the parking lot of the Timber Lodge both going out and coming back and the rest was just a couple of circles through the woods. No hills. No scenic views. Never even trotted. Maybe since it is Memorial Day weekend they seemed more interested in getting in as many people as possible. They took more than 12 people and the actual amount of riding seemed hurried. Guides were friendly but not engaged. Would not recommend for adults seeking an adventure. Cash only, but you can charge it to your room if staying at the resort; which we were - but they don't...
Read moreThis is a little different haunted experience. We only did the haunted hayride portion, but they also have a haunted barn, for an extra cost. For me, I think both experience should've been included in the same price. The hayride, or actually wagon, is more of a moving stage for the actors. Which is an interesting concept. There are set decorations along the trails as you ride and some acting takes place there as well, but mostly the actors will bang on, and then climb on board the wagon to interact with the passengers(scare). There is also a large fire pit to enjoy, and some food and beverages available for purchase(everything is cash only including the haunts). Why 4 stars? $25 feels a bit high, pretty short ride.... Though it was a unique experience. Kids are cheaper though I don't...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to go horseback riding for our anniversary and we just happened to be in Geneva that weekend so we went to Dan Patch Stables since we were there on the resort! My husband got the biggest horse whose name was Rocky and I got the one right next to him name Sierra. Both of us had stubborn horses but they were still beautiful! If my husband was trying to direct him on which way to go Rocky would actually yank the harness back with attitude lol! It was still a wonderful walk through the woods the trees were so beautiful and it was quite an experience! All of the horses were well-behaved and easy to control! They also had other animals there on the land some donkeys, goats and sheep and they were all ready to be fed! Definitely suggest taking a guided Horse tour at Dan...
