I rarely feel the need to rate a place of business with one star but at this point I feel I must share. I am a Latino man with a partner who is also a POC. The last two times we have entered this toy store simply to browse and finding interest in buying something; I was left uncomfortable and have grown a distaste for even setting foot within this store. The store owner it seems is quite the racist and prejudice individual. The one time we entered when it was a slow day the older lady behind the counter felt the need to follow us around the store and give us this hard stare as if we were somehow in the wrong for entering her storefront curious in buying something. She was the only one working the sales floor that day and followed us both all the way towards the building sets for lego that I found interesting. After realizing she was doing such I suggested to my partner that we leave as there's clearly no reason either of us should shop there. The second time we visited today during a rush maybe just an hour ago, she was there but preoccupied with sales. As soon as we neared the counter looking at key-chains that my partner wanted to buy I immediately felt the same harsh stare she gave us last time. She kept looking our way to make sure that we weren't stealing or whatever she may have been thinking all whilst attending to customers at a register. I have worked in retail for quite sometime and there are much nicer ways to deter a customer from shoplifting. Such as saying "hello, how may I help you." But no one needn't harass their customers with glowering or such intimidating glares. I will never set foot in this place again.
In summary, the store owner either racist or prejudice or both. They will follow you with a disgusting look on their face and give you an unwelcoming attitude without much of a reason. For this reason I recommend the Toy Box on Boston Post Road. As they are a welcoming toy shop with such variety and lovely staff.

Read moreI can’t recommend this store enough. I bought a Spring free Trampoline from their associate company, and since I am only visiting my American grandchildren for 2 weeks, really wanted to get it delivered while I was still in town. Everybody else told me it would be 2 weeks delivery , including them, but when I told them my story, they fit me in the next day. Taka was fabulous, especially when my Canadian credit card was denied. Apparently, it is a fraud thing. I then got it authorized and it was denied again, used my daughter-in-law’s card, then was able to use my own. All this took place from a place with terrible cell reception where I kept cutting out and getting cut off. Seriously, I would have hung up on myself and said, Get Lost”, so their unfailing courtesy and delivery and assembly, exactly on time was amazing and very much appreciated. We jumped all afternoon, and love the product, by the way. It is really good to know that customer service is still alive and well in...
Read moreI told my dad that we had to pay twice as much for every toy at this store. He was not happy. I bought a toy for $70 and it costs $35 on amazon. We are intelligent people and understand how important it is to help out local stores in our community, and that they should not have to kneel down to the empire that is amazon. However, we did not invent computers that make everything easier for people. If my father or I did then I suppose we wouldn't have to write this. The problem I found is that this specific toy only lists for $40 EVERYWHERE in the world! How dare you double the price of all of your toys. I told my dad that we will never shop here ever again because I need to be smart and cut my toy budget in half by shopping ANYWHERE else! Rent is high we understand that, stop ripping off children and stick to what is actually paying the rent, slinging over-...
