Garden Catering - Mamaroneck — Restaurant in Town of Mamaroneck

Ordered from here for the first time on Uber Eats since there was a buy one get one free deal on certain items. Got the Boss special. It comes with a lot of food especially only for two people. However I was extremely disappointed for two reasons first being the chicken nuggets meat in the inside were extremely dry that the sauces did not help even when drenched in it had to drink water over and the soda given. Fries came soggy as expected since it was Uber delivery but I did not think the chicken would be so dry. Secondly even though I selected seasoning and not seasoning on the side it seems like it still came on the side but there is no warning or indication of how salty these seasoning packets are or if only meant for fries it didn’t distribute as well on my fiancé food since the bag ripped when shaking so he had to just power through it. Overall I know now about the seasoning being really salty but I wished the nuggets were no as bone dry as they were in the inside. I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with the sorted history of chicken Joe, garden catering, and Reddi Rooster, but it is indeed fascinating. In the end they all have the same high school special but they will all tell you theirs is slightly different. I would always give any one of them five stars had a five but since garden catering was split up and a fairly ugly way (so says my independent research and should not be an opinion that you take as your own before doing your own diligence) All of the stores have really lost that comfortable atmosphere feeling. The atmosphere that says " we know who we are and we're proud of it". Since the split I think each one of them has been trying to figure out how they can differentiate, but not from the broader market just from each other. Until the beef is fully squashed I think that's what we can expect. Great high school special though, as always. One tip... GC please stop serving honey mustard from a big brand. Used to come here all the time in high school, since then they’ve really started being stingy on everything. When you pay $17 through Uber Eats (pick-up) you’d expect there to be some kind of portion that matches the price, right? Wrong. Feels like they give you whatever they’re feeling that day. Not to mention the terrible customer service, I ordered through the Uber Eats app for pick-up where they were doing one of their special deals, “Buy 1 Item get free item”. Ordered it and apparently there was the most out of the way section to add the free item that didn’t give me a single prompt?
