I had purchased from Gelber and Mundy many years ago and always found them to be really fantastic to work with. More recently, I had to have clasps changed on a couple of white gold chains, and a knot removed from another. Each time, the work was done in a reasonable amount of time and at an incredibly reasonable price. Just walked in off the street asking them if they could resize a bracelet on a watch that I did not even buy there. He resized the bracelet perfectly and quickly. When I asked him how much I owed him, he smiled and told me “enjoy your nice watch.” Even when I insisted on paying him, he refused. Afterwards, I stayed for 30 minutes and chatted with the owners.
