Paprika, the latest addition to the vibrant Great Neck dining scene, offers a delightful culinary journey through the rich history of Israeli and Moroccan cuisine. This gem features a hot coal oven that perfectly grills a variety of meats, offering generous portions that satisfy both the palate and the appetite.
The menu is a celebration of multicultural flavors, with standout dishes like the steak shish kebab bursting with spices and juiciness. The chicken, pan-charred to perfection, is crispy on the outside yet tender and moist inside. The falafel consisted of fresh made bites that rival those found in Israel.
The Babaganoush, a creamy eggplant dip, and an array of side dishes including tabbouleh, hummus, pine nuts, and more, provide a perfect balance to the rich meats. Each dish is crafted with the freshest ingredients and spices, transporting diners straight to the heart of the Middle East. The lively, upbeat music and bustling social atmosphere make dining at Paprika an experience to remember. Large platters encourage family-style dining, perfect for sharing and enjoying the exceptional tender meats, all made from high-quality beef.
Desserts at Paprika are a revelation, awakening the senses visually and olfactorily. The Malabi, made with coconut milk and pistachio nuts in a rose petal-flavored sauce, is a sensory delight. The molten lava cake, oozing with creamy dark chocolate, soothes the palate, while the warm, homemade baklava, layered with filo, honey, and nuts, offers a perfect finish. Accompanying these sweet treats, the Moroccan tea and Turkish coffee, served in glasses reminiscent of those my Polish grandfather used, come with white sugar cubes, adding a nostalgic touch.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreIām sorry to say I canāt review the food. I heard it was amazing, unfortunately I didnāt get to eat here even though I made a reservation a couple weeks prior. 1st - I received the usual day before āconfirmation textā, which is great. I confirmed my reservation which was scheduled for last night (2/15, 7:00 pm) 2nd - I then received another text at 6:30 pm on 2/15 stating I was ādue at Paprika in 30 minutesā. Great. I live in GN village so I started walking down to the restaurant, as I am a block away, at 6:50 pm, I am told my reservation needed to be pushed to 7:30 pm. Iām a little aggravated at this point because Iām not sure why I was not contacted earlier. Okay, I wait until 7:20 pm and then head to the restaurant. There was a group seated first, then another group of 4 in front of me, when I checked in I was being placed at a table that was directly outside of the kitchen and very close to the host station. The restaurant was pretty much empty at this point and even though I requested another 2 person table, I was told the rest were already āreservedā. I am not sure why I wasnāt accommodated, however itās clear this restaurant doesnāt care about the comfort of their patrons. I wish I could say Iād try again but being treated poorly in a service based industry makes no...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWOW!! All I can say is WOW!! This place blows almost any restaurant Iāve been to out of the water from NYC to LI. Iāll start with the service, our waiter was a gem. He accommodated our large order with an additional table for our comfort, changed our plates and silverware as our lunch went on just because and checked in to see if we needed anything else.
The food was out of this world. We ordered a selection of items from the menu to taste and one thing was more delicious than the next. The flavours were insaneee and we did not feel uncomfortably full after. The presentation was so wonderful!
I brought home leftovers to my husband to take to work today, and he even called me to say how incredible the food was and to ask where I got It from. Safe to say itās our next date night spot.
We ate as soon as the plates reached the table and forgot the pics but Iāll post pictures from a screenshot from a video, sorry for the...
