Uber Fabulous, personable service by Owner, Dylan. We had the pleasure, privilege and honor to be completely outfitted with a ukulele by Dylan, which we could not have been happier with. He was so very friendly and we had a great time conversationally while he set us up, big time, with everything we would need to have an optimal experience. A day later, when we thought something was askew with the re-stringing of our uke, Dylan sat and worked out the issue with us like an old friend. It turns out it was us who had the stringing arrangement topsy-turvy! Oy Vey! Goodness, Dylan simply laughed it off like another day at the Office. The Shop is beautifully appointed, with spacious, high ceilings, and filled with arresting art and stunning instruments. There was Client traffic both days we went, so you could tell, folks know this is the place to go to for music. If you are a complete novice, you will be inspired and welcomed to learn a new musical skill whatever your age. Would give 10 Stars if we could. What a great asset to the Community. Massive, righteous thanks, Dylan and Caroline, for helping us on our way to our exciting, new musical adventure. Live long and prosper,...
Read moreI’ve been playing for over 60 years, and teaching for over 50 years. This studio has an impressive faculty. The best of their generation teaching a variety of instruments in any style from rock to classical to jazz and anything in between. They also perform perfect repairs. From 1976 my luthier was Tom Doyle. Tom was the luthier of choice for Les Paul, George Benson, Paul McCartney and others too numerous to mention. Tom is now retired. I take my repairs and setups seriously. Dylan has done work on many of my instruments, many of them priceless vintage instruments. Some of the instruments I have entrusted him with are my 1974 Martin D-35, Taylor Big Baby, 1959 Gretsch Archtop, Ovation, two Telecasters, Johnson Resonator mandolin banjo, 1937 Stradolin Mandolin, 1961 Gibson A Style Mandolin, 1956 Gibson L-50, Vintage Harmony 12 String, my Strats, my Martin Backpacker, my Baldwin 1970 Plectrum Banjo, and my 1927 Slingerland Maybelle Tenor Banjo. All repairs impeccably performed. I give the Rock Shop my highest...
