Selfie Clubhouse — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I attended a kids Halloween party and was somewhat unhappy. First of all they said there would be food and there was not. Obviously I thought it would be snacks (like a bag of chips). But no, nothing. Next, they had a scavenger hunt in which eyeballs were supposed to be found for prizes. Kids who knew the workers were finding eyeballs and at one point they didn’t even know how many were left. Third, the costume contest was a complete sham and I’m sure the people who won knew the workers/owners. They had so many cute little kids in cute costumes and yet two older girls in top 5 showed no charisma when interviewed and the winner literally had leggings and a black cape on. When the kids were leaving they didn’t even get as much as a lollipop or a goodbye. I thought there would be more organized interactions. Like a dance along or something with the workers or maybe a simple craft. Just two hours of running around taking pictures. Cute place but they definitely need to improve their Halloween party / holiday parties.

**Response to owner: why give out candy for people who stayed after the party? Wasn’t there another party right after ? Also, it’s not about making every child feel like a winner . Every child doesn’t have to be a winner. This is not about my niece winning. However, pick actual cute/good costumes as winners. Sorry 🤷🏽‍♀️ Not sure what the criteria was. This place was amazing!!!! The staff go above & beyond to accommodate you. Not to mention the pictures are so nice. My only wish would be the sessions time limit, I wish they weren’t so short. The time moves fast so pictures are a little rushed but they come out nice regardless. Packages start off at reasonable prices but you can add on more stuff if you’re not happy with the starter packages. They don’t have a bathroom so make sure you come dressed, makeup, hair done & ready to take your photos. The photographers are super sweet but they don’t really tell you how to pose for your photos so you have to get creative & practice in the mirror before you come. They allow pets, which was so nice because we got to bring our dog but if you’re allergic or scared of animals then you might not be too happy about that. Overall a great place for family photos, my family loved it & we loved our pictures. If you want fast reasonable pictures that you will get the same day then this place is perfect! KC & Jade helped me they were so cute & sweet. Santa was awesome he was so nice my daughter loved him, Santa was her favorite thing about the photo shoot. Come early for the...

My friend and I had SUCH a great time at Selfie Clubhouse! They have SO MANY backdrops/sets and they change them with the season so you will definitely want to come back - I know I will! We didn’t get to all the sets so we’ll have to come again to make more content. The sets are created from local artists which made me love this place even more. I met the owner, Cal, the first day I came and he was so down to earth and really made me feel welcome! I love to support local and black-owned businesses and this one is a MUST GO!

They even have ring light tripods you can rent out while you’re here which were so beneficial to capturing the perfect shot. And the employees are so helpful and sweet! Thank you so much Linda, Jelani (sp?), CJ for being so kind and helpful! You KNOW we will be back so we’ll see you soon haha.
