Joseph's Fine Jewelry LLC — Local services in Town of Philipstown

I was in the Cold Springs having lunch with a colleague, and decided to pop into Joseph Fine Jewelry on Main Street to see if they had a potential gift for my wife. My wife likes unique estate/vintage pieces, which can be difficult to find, and even harder to value.

The gentleman that helped me out was quite knowledgable, patient and fair. I had no ideas in mind, but he spent some time with me to show me all sorts of options, and was patient and not at all hard-selling. I felt like it was OK if I took his time and didn't end up buying anything. He spent time educating me on what makes certain pieces more valuable than others.

I did end up purchasing two pieces from them, and was very happy with both the quality and the price. You get a great value here, and professional help. They have a great inventory of both new and antique jewelry. I believe they will also make customized jewelry too.

My colleague, who is very knowledgable on jewelry (who wasn't looking to buy anything), was impressed with the values on some peices that I was looking at and actually bought a few items as well.

I will certainly make regular stops to this jewelry store when I am in the area, and will consider driving up from NJ on special occasions when I need to find a unique gift.

I was also surprised by the negative review, as I was satisfied enough to go on this site to give them a good review, which I typically do not do.

This store has been added to my short list of quality, fair, knowledgable and patient jewelers, that I will continue to be a patron. I have already recommended this store...

We were referred to Joseph for custom jewelry and his selection of estate/antique jewelry. My husband made an appointment to pick out (pink) earrings for my birthday. Though there was an extensive selection of estate jewelry that was beautiful nothing that fit what I was requesting. My husband and Joseph then began the process of making custom pink Sapphire earrings. I like that you have to make an appointment, it allows you to have Joseph’s undivided attention. He kept us apprised to every detail. The final result was exactly what I wanted. So happy!! He also repaired a gold chain I had as a child that I will be passing on to my daughter. We will work with Joseph and his wife for all our jewelry needs...

Worst place I ever been in contact with so unprofessional, when I called the place it gives you a personal phone number. I called and he completed low balled balled my ring but offered me 500 for it. I'm in a pinch so I texted him of he could accept the offer and meet me tomorrow then he had the nerve to call me and try and argue with me saying that he didn't want the ring. A complete sycho completely unprofessional if u didn't want the ring in the first place you should've never gave me a price to begin with he said I should ask other people for 500 for the ring so rude. I can tell he's old I'm glad they are working by appointment only hopefully they shut down for...
