We rented a tux for our son's HS prom and we were pleased with the original lady that took his measurements. The tux came in early and we picked it up a few days ago. My son tried it on and the jacket was a bit too small so we called to see if an exchange would be possible. The first lady put me on hold and was going to check their inventory and see if one needed to be ordered. While I was on hold, another lady picked up the phone and immediately asked in a very condescending tone what our problem was. I politely explained I was waiting on hold for the other employee and she told me to never mind her and demanded to know what the problem was. So I explained it again and said my husband could exchange them the next day if possible. My son only has one day this week without end of the year testing so he wouldn't be able to go with my husband to try it on in the store (we live 1.5 hours away from the store but bought my wedding dress there and was keeping business local). My husband showed up today and the owner came down after my husband explained the situation to the lady at the counter. He insisted that we must have had the measurements done elsewhere and it wasn't possible they were done in store. He assured him they were done in house and that it wasn't that big of a deal and just wanted to exchange the jacket for a larger size. We took photos of our son the night before when he tried them on and the arms came up to his elbows, the front of the coat looked like an X and the shoulders went above his ears. The owner said it looked fine to him even though it is clearly too small and uncomfortable. Not only was the owner rude and condescending but also unprofessional. We will bring the tux back after prom next week and will not be back in the store ever again after that. Definitely not a way to get repeat customers or to...
Read moreLaura's Bridal was going to be the first place I went wedding dress shopping. I found them at the Burlington Bridal Show in February 2022, where they were setting up appointments with a chance at a free veil, and I thought I might as well make an appointment. Their iPad was down, so they were penciling in appointments in a notebook, with a promise to call and confirm or move the appointment, which is perfectly acceptable. The date I had set was over a month away. I anticipated they would call and probably need to move it around a bit, since they didn't have access to their system. However, with less than 2 weeks to the appointment, they still had not called. I ended up calling to confirm, and was told they needed to move the appointment to mid-April, since it was prom season and they were too busy. As the only day I am available each week is Sunday, the woman on the phone (presumably looking at their in-store calendar or an online calendar) set it for April 17, which turns out to be Easter Sunday. A week and a half before the appointment, they call me up to say "Oops we're not open Easter Sunday, can we move it out another 2 weeks?" At this point I'm a bit perplexed, as surely your business calendar shows you what dates you're open when you're making appointments, but maybe the person who has scheduled me was new? Either way, I say sure, May 1 works for me. This morning (the morning of April 30), I get a call from them saying they need to reschedule again and that this is "unprecedented" and they are so sorry. I might have bought that line if they hadn't already had to reschedule me twice before. At this point, I just can't justify even driving the hour and a half it would take me to get there, because if this is how they handle appointments, how can I trust that they would be able to get a dress...
Read moreThis is by far the worst experience I have had. Besides being engaged myself I have been in 2 weddings so I have had my fair share of experiences. I am a bridesmaid in another wedding coming up. I ordered my dress 2-3 months ago and still have not been given any idea when I can expect to even pick it up. On top of that I live out of town. I have called at least three times, and have left my number every time to be called back with some sort of update and have been left hanging every time. I just called again and was told they would "look into it ". Beyond that, I was just told for the first time that they do not do alterations themselves. On every previous call I was told that they would be handling the alterations as soon as I could get in. They have yet to give me any indication of when I can expect the dress in or even if it will arrive by the wedding. Now all I can do is hope they get the dress in within a week of the wedding so I can take it elsewhere to get altered in time because Laura's bridal couldn't find the time to call me back or give me the simple information I requested. To top it all off the dress was originally being shipped to me. When I discovered I couldn't trust them to get it to me in time I had them change it to in store pickup. Despite this I have yet to receive a refund on the extra shipping charge. I am beyond disgusted and will NEVER use them again nor will I recommend anybody to them. If I could I would give...
