Montauk Distilling Co. — Local services in Town of Riverhead

The THINGS I could say about The Montauk Distilling Co.!!! This place has my whole heart and the staff is INCREDIBLE! My wife and I stumbled on North Fork Brewing Co. on our first anniversary during a brewery tour (now our favorite Long Island brewery) and got an added surprise by finding MDC next door. When visiting again several months later we began chatting with the Manager, Danielle. The three of us totally hit it off. Having just gotten engaged, I asked Danielle about private events and there our journey began!!

We ended up having our non traditional rehearsal dinner at MDC this past September 2023, and it was seriously the best decision we could have made. We had about a 60 person, two hour private event at the Distillery and seriously it was the stuff dreams are made of. Staff members Mel, Greg and Grace were so helpful and accommodating while I set up with a friend beforehand. While I brought some of my own decor, they let us make full use of anything we wanted already on site. The radio played great tunes all night and they kept the delicious drinks coming. They even had Britt and I’s signature cocktails ready made as a welcome drinks for our guests arrival. Thankyou Mel, Greg and Grace for everything!

All of the planning and prep was handled between Danielle and myself for the months leading up to the big weekend. Seriously Danielle I love you, I cannot thank you enough for all of our communication and all of your help to plan and pull off our perfect Welcome Dinner Wedding Kick-off! Our guests couldn’t say enough about what a wonderful experience it was. Everyone loved the Distillery and the great vibe it truly has. You are THE best!

Brittany and I are so eternally grateful to have stumbled upon the Distillery, and for it to have been a part of our relationship from the beginning and still now! One of my favorite distilleries and establishments ever. The team here is so incredibly kind, welcoming, and wonderful, and makes you feel at home. The spirits are some of the best I've had—from smooth, sweet bourbons to smooth vodkas. Don't miss the Bourbon!

They make amazing Espresso Martini flights that are adorable, amazing, and SUPER strong! Wow. I just love these! Sometimes they also use Tipsy Scoop ice cream for spiked ice cream flights!

They change their menu seasonally with cute things like cocktails in pumpkins, holiday themed drinks, and more.

They have indoor seating that is beautiful, trendy, and comfortable, and in the warmer seasons a sprawling outdoor patio with plush seating and sometimes live music.

The partys used to be better here but now hardly anyone shows up and they become like a private event and strictly for regs. Bartender acted like she could not be bothered taking my order. Even if you can't hear someone it was on paper and there was no crowd. I was not drunk, disordly or complained about anything. They picked their friend to win the prize at the end clearly rigged and not fair to other people who made effort with their costume and stayed there awhile. ( it was 4 people dressed up total) Will not be back anytime soon, to bad because I had like 20 friends who said they wanted to go here recently and the drinks looked good.
