I just want to preface that I've been to this location multiple times and have enjoyed them almost every single time I've visited. With kind delightful people and even chatted with a wonderful lady who I assumed was the owner about their job opportunities at one point.
All of that changed when this time I stopped in I was going in with a friend who was visiting from afar and wanted to take her somewhere nice before seeing her off. We picked our pastries that are always fresh and nicely displayed with everything always having a signature clean presentation.
But when we went to check out and get some pastries heated up we were met with this extremely unkind front worker with no name tag. He was a tall Latino man with dark hair and glasses who misgendered my friend by calling them "SIR" multiple times and even seemed to laugh about it with a nearby coworker on top of that despite having a coupon for a free pastry with any purchase of a drink they then said it came up free but tried adding the price back as we were paying. Thankfully I caught it in time since this interaction felt very Ill intended. At this point I didn't trust them making our drinks without feeling like they were going to sabotage them somehow and of course the other worker who made the drinks handed them out by also saying "here you go SIR" once again misgendering my friend despite correcting them both. From a place that I dearly enjoy and love reccomending to any friend this left such a bad taste in our mouths. It must've been a day where the managers weren't present for them to act so rude, laughing when being corrected politely, and even whispering to eachother.
After such a very good streak of friendly experiences for this one to be so sharp and Ill intent I think I will be choosing other locations to visit from here on out especially since it was my friends first time coming to that location as well. It is very easy to treat people with basic respect and costs way more effort to be unkind. Hire more...
Read moreI've only visited this location twice. About an hour ago, I stopped by to purchase three pastries to go. I asked the cashier if one of them could be heated, and I paid using Apple Pay. Once the pastry was ready, he handed me my order, and I headed toward the front while on a phone call. Suddenly, the employee started loudly shouting across the café, “EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME, EXCUSE ME.” I finally turned around, and he yelled, “YOUR PAYMENT DECLINED.”
I walked back to the counter, completed the payment, and calmly told him that shouting like that was rude and unnecessary. He could have easily approached me directly to explain the situation. If he had been paying attention during the transaction, he would have noticed that the payment hadn’t gone through. Rather than apologizing, he tried to brush it off with a joke—as if he hadn’t just embarrassed me in front of everyone.
I’m extremely disappointed with the way this...
Read morei’ve been coming here for months and i felt absolutely disgusted at the treatment the managers gave their employees. i walked in and i had to wait because the manager was speaking to her worker, that’s cool and all, but when i got closer i noticed she was yelling at him in front of everybody which disgusted me. there’s no empathy from the managers, she was a manager yelling at the worker for doing something wrong to which the man replied,”this is how i was trained karen, may you correct me?” and the manager karen replied “if you think this job isn’t for you than you’re free to leave, i can even do it for you. “. i proceeded to drop my pastries and leave in disgust. it’s so rude because the employee matthew had always served me in a very nice attitude and its a shame to know this is how they treat their employees. lost a...
