The only reason why it has a 2 star is because of the good service from the young man who greeted us to the waitress and the buzzer whom I though were all great and extremely hospitable. I do understand that there is a big staffing problem in the restaurant industry and people aren’t showing up to work so I really sympathize with the owner who was also very welcoming and maybe doing his best to accommodate guests. At first I thought they are doing their best but then I noticed that although they expressed that they are short staffed and the kitchen is very backed up and that was the reason for waiting over 40 minutes to get our apps . They were seating a great number of people I. The mean time. Maybe if they stoped taking in New business and focused on the tables that they have the quality of the food would have been better. The food was all horrible with the exception of the big one( large pretzel) . Ski due to the owners greed in eating more people seated to cash in rather then satisfying the customers he chose to fill the cash register although the food was horrible and in my case bot eatable. Poor business decision that led to my poor review. I do have to say, I went there on my daughters recommendation whom assured me that this is a one off instance and every time prior she was very happy with the service and the food. Not my experience but I will take her word for it. Read moreThis restaurant was quite terrible. I’m no marketing wiz but I truly believe most of the 5 star reviews were purchased. The language being used in most of them is way off and seems made up.
On to my review. We were offered a table outside while there were tables inside available, about 4-5 parties inside and 3 outside including us. We ordered drinks from the bar and about 10-15 mins later placed a food order. Our food came out about 20 mins later and our drinks came out about 10 mins after that. Some quick math says it took about 40-45 mins to make two cocktails. The food, ugh, the food. Come on, this is your thing. As a restaurant, this is what you do. Everything was just bad and while we ate it all, I really wish we hadn’t. The service was really quite poor as well. We had to go grab our own plates and cutlery. Our order was received incomplete and when I mentioned something I was told “the kitchen said 'no' “ which struck me as rather odd. The kitchen told the waitress they wouldn’t make something on the menu? They served us meatballs that were white in color, also struck me as rather odd. And pasta sauce that I think might have been ketchup mixed with tomato paste. I could go on but I’d just rather not. I walked in with my husband and in laws (we are all hispanic for context) asked for a table for four and was told there was a 45 minute to an hour wait for a table, mind you half the restaurant was empty. We sat at the bar and saw multiple parties of 4+ people get sat down on tables. They didn't have reservations, they just walked in and asked for a table and immediately were sat down, for whatever reason that wasn't the case for us. I like to think we live in a less judgemental/racist wold, but can't help but feel like we were discriminated against at this particular establishment. We expressed our discontent to the bartender but he didn't seem to care much and dismissed it as a "miscommunication" with the hostess. He offered our drinks for free, but we didn't feel like ordering anything at that point beyond the beer my father in law had already ordered, which we paid and left a tip for. Overall disappointed, upset, annoyed - will never go here again.
