Drybar - Towson — Local services in Towson

I've had 2 appointments at this location, all with great blowouts but with mediocre customer service. And then today's appointment didn't occur, and had the worst customer service.

My first experience here I booked the first appointment of the day, and no one was there at the time of opening. No big deal, instead of waiting outside in the cold, I walked to get a coffee and came back. We started my appointment late, I told her I was there at the appointed time, and that was that.

The 2nd experience here I was not the first appointment of the day, but despite my appointment time, I had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. Again, I get it. It's a hair salon. I read in the waiting area and didn't make a big deal about it.

Today, I had the 1st appointment of the day again, and once again, no one there at opening. Lights are out, doors are locked, and it's rainy and cold. To have this happen once, I'll forgive. To have it happen twice is unprofessional. I yet again walk to get coffee and come back. I'm met with lights on, but doors locked. I call the phone number and tell the stylist I am locked outside. She comes and lets me in. The first thing she says to me is "You will have to have a dry style only today. I have another appointment at 7:45am." I told her I was here on time at 7am and no one was here. She proceeds to tell me she was here at 7:02am and didn't see me. No apology for the lateness. (Who opens a retail establishment after the opening hours, by the way?)

Since I had an event to get to this evening, I rebooked a time for later this afternoon. But after leaving, this whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I was considering signing up for the Barfly membership prior to this experience. But now? Never. I called around and found another salon to do my blowout today. Perhaps I'll even join their blowout membership program?

Tears were shed… Before, during, and after. I was SO cared for, and felt extremely beautiful leaving. This was my first experience at any DryBar. It’s a beautiful facility, and the vibe was amazing!
