Towson Best — Restaurant in Towson

Two words. Hot. Garbage. Words simply cannot describe the experience me an my family had here tonight. We waited no less than 20 minutes to be served. mind you, this is 20 minutes after our menus were closed and those crisps things were gone. We ordered, 3 appetizers and 4 entrees. My father's appetizer was going to be his meal since he wasn't that hungry. 3 sushi entrees were served, when they arrived, the ginger was funky and had a really funky, composting garbage taste to it. the spicy tuna roll tasted like straight siracha - to their credit, they did exchange it for a regular tuna roll. Once we reminded the waitress that we ordered 3 appetizers, she blamed the kitchen and they were on our table within 2 minutes, with the exception of my fathers tempura appetizer. One of the appetizers was completely wrong and the waitress told us she was right in what was ordered. We had to waive the manager over, who then confirmed that we were given the wrong appetizer. I'm not talking about a small difference, it was very obvious that we were given the wrong item. Once the manager came over he said sorry and that he will take 25% off the check. My fathers appetizer was still nowhere to be found. We're all done eating when my fathers APPETIZER gets put on the table. It was obviously forgotten. We get the check and everything from the horrific spicy tuna roll, to the the appetizer my mother DID NOT order was on the check, and neither was the 25% discount the manager said we were going to be comped. And in actuality, any other GM would have comped the entire meal to make up for what happened but I digress, at this point we just wanted out. The waitress started arguing with us about the check and for the first time in my life, I slammed my hand on the table and screamed to the waitress, ITS NOT RIGHT. TAKE IT OFF! She shut the hell up at that point and I looked like a jerk as the other TWO tables in the restaurant we're staring. This was a terrible experience. YUCKY!!!!! OMG PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE EVER!!! SO GROSS & DISGUSTING!!! This was my 1st experience at TB, ONly b/c my fave New China HOuse was closed. I ordered the CHESAPEAKe (real CRAB states on menu) SUSHI ROLL. General Tso's chicken, Crab Wontons, Egg Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, price was over $50!! (pricey we thought, but the kids and wife were starving- so! $8 tip - he walked away without gv me ANY change and no english" he said?? ok!??? WTF WELL..the driver was sweating profusely, stinking of underarms, but del was only 25 min so i t was fine. EVERYTHING was sooo GREASY & OVERPOWERED with OLD BAD FISH SMELL !! YUCK, the bottom of the plastic bag was dripping GREASE!! all over my floors and my dog wouldnt even lick it!!! There was NO CRAB barely in the sushi roll- it was minced fake fish my wife swore. Egg rolls were mushy and soaked in fish grease, smelled & tasted lk CHEAP CANNED tuna fish!! wontons we did NOT EVEN EAT- smelled lk sour cream! We packaged it up and called them- No answer- closed! I just now got off the phone with DANNY the owner, he said too bad- even though we HAD the entire uneaten meal (my wife froze cause the smell)!! My 10 yr old ate one bite of the mushed egg roll, and woke up with diarrhea 2 hours late!@ ( sorry). They have all OWNER WRITTEN REVIEWS on every site- I am not a vengeful person by any means- and I felt it waas my obligation to share this with other "hard working for their $$"--- families. Danny hung up on me and said NO REFUNDS- WE DO NOT REMAKE ANY FOOD EVER- FINAL SALE" that is the term he actually used on me!!! OMG PLEASE DO NOT EVEN ORDER FROM THEM- I now figured out why they are the ONLY RESTAURANT OPEN LATE for business- that is the ONLY way people eat their disgusting food!!!!!!

REVIEW OF OTHER REVIEWS Many complaints are explicitly due to service and unprofessionality. There is a suggested tip system on CNN (if you simply google "How much should I tip my driver") - this being said I generally tip 20% and round up to the nearest dollar, which I realize is a lot, however even on OrderUp an adequate gratitude is mandatory - basically, please don't give your driver a wimpy, or no tip at all.

TIME OF ARRIVAL REVIEW Secondly, I have only experienced the delivery system through OrderUp. I typically check the clock to find a start-to-delivery time, which has really only been within 30-45 minutes at the most. I consider this extremely efficient due to our high traffic area around the Towson area.

Now that timing has shined, the food.

FOOD REVIEW I have not ordered a range of items, yet. The foods that we've ordered include shrimp egg rolls, hot & sour soup, cashew chicken, and a noodle dish my father had. All were extremely delicious, and have been for every time we've ordered (probably around 6 or 7 times)

My father and I have tried most of the chinese take-out/delivery chinese restaurants, however we stumbled upon Towson Best because we were looking for authenticity. I discovered my world history teacher had lived in China for a number of months. I quickly followed this information up with "Where is the best Chinese food?" to which he responded "Honestly, the most accurate place (with the exception of vegetables, only because ours in America are safe to eat) to what I've eaten in China, is Towson Best, that little place right near the circle."
