My wife and I were going to a fundraiser at The Recher, an event venue on York Rd. in Towson. We hadn't had dinner. The organizers told us that we could go nextdoor to The Rec Room, order food to go, and bring it back into The Recher. This is a review of The Rec Room. The Rec Room is a sports bar that also serves American and Mexican adjacent cuisine. My wife had steak quesadilla and sweet potato fries. I had blackened salmon soft tacos and a salad. All were delicious. The venue is neat and clean. There are plenty of TV screens showing sports. Service was friendly and efficient. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Parking is paid street parking and a public lot around the corner, paid until 6pm, then free after 6.

What an amazing music club. Sets a new bar for experiencing live music in the Mid-Atlantic region. It's first-rate and world-class. Sound quality was perfect and surpasses the 9:30 Club - which is nearly impossible to do - AND the space is just the right size. Been to the Paradiso in Amsterdam which is the holy grail of live music for a room this size and this is in that league. It's big enough to accommodate fans while still feeling intimate. I went to see the awesome Kurt Deemer Band with no idea of what to expect and I was frankly blown away. Every staff member was on top of their game and great, the seating, the lighting, drinks, as mentioned sound quality makes this THE venue to see live music at. I will be back.

Cheap drinks, ok food, nice venue and baby mice. The location is ‘downtown Towson’ so it’s a great spot. The outside patio was nice and the drinks were good for the price. The food is ok but not the best bar food. And you might just find baby mice running around outside.

The staff at this establishment are prejudice and only care about taking your money. The disrespect that my friends endured while spending their time at the rec room is unforgivable and WILL be addressed. The ceiling was leaking during their visit (no wet floor sign) and one of my friends ended up slipping and injuring themselves (ambulance was called). When this was brought to the staffs attention in a calm manner, my friends were met with a dismissive tone and a thumbs up. The staff even went as far as blaming my friend for slipping and falling on their wet floor. Furthermore, The staff accused my friends of trying to file a lawsuit (there are many lawsuits that have been filed against this establishment). The owner did NOTHING to deescalate the situation (arrived to the restaurant two hours after the issue was addressed and was smoking a cigar) and ended up calling the police on my friends. Please if you are black and looking to have a good time, please look elsewhere. This place just sucks and is not very...

The owner Brain is probably the worst person to deal with; he is a condescending RACIST!!! This place has lawsuits going back to 2014. Unless you are an under age white woman I suggest you find another restaurant/bar in the area. These people are nasty and underserving of genuine customers. They have a leaking roof and someone slipped, fell and injured themselves and not a single employee was concerned including the owner. In fact, he became belligerent and wanted to argue. We had to ask three different times after my friend fell for them to clean the spill up. The owner Brian wasn’t apologetic or concerned. I’ve never in my life had an experience like this. This isn’t a welcoming environment for anyone of color and the c00ns he has working there respond very...
