Anyone reading this review should stop and go read all the negative reviews at the three locations. Then read the owners response. I think it’s enough to make anybody stay far, far away.
We’ve been taking our dogs here for about two years. I have had a few different issues but enough that I’m pretty upset and will no longer be a customer.
The pricing makes zero sense. They always get us on some hidden fee or over charge us for our dog. I’ve never paid the same price once. They also claim my 19 pound dog is a medium sized dog.
I’ve spoken to them multiple times about shaving our dog and certain spots. I mentioned this most recent time how our dogs skin was very irritated last time and to avoid that area. They did it again though and he’s again irritated in the same area. Pictures attached to show.
They said today they had to rewash our dog twice today after brushing him. Why did they wash him the first time to begin with then? It took almost 6 hours to groom our two dogs. How?
My golden smelled a little bad from swimming. We had washed him but the odor lingered. Yet he still smelled at pick up despite having been bathed twice over 6 hours.
The nails on my dog still look pretty long despite being charged a large amount of money.
Dog groomers should be upfront about pricing. There shouldn’t be hidden charges or charges after the fact. They should also be able to provide an itemized receipt.
This will be the last time we go here and I’d warn everyone to stay away.
Edit: Manager just called and spoke to me. First, she was instantly talking to me like I knew nothing about dogs. It was sorta dumbfounding and goes in line with every response you see to their negative reviews. They seemingly don’t make any mistakes.
She claimed I’d paid the same each time which isn’t true. If I go back through, they’ve charged us handling fees and other “fees.” This time it was $40 for matting on our golden and $30 for matting on our Pomsky.
The manager also said the sizing is a “sliding scale” so don’t pay attention to the website pricing. Seems like it’s just up in the air…
Again, I’d find a new dog groomer- I know I will be.
I’d encourage any new customers to read the negative reviews at the three locations and their response to them. It’s almost like they are blaming everyone for similar issues.
Response to owners comments: first, my golden does not bite and we’ve never been told he bites. My Pomsky has some husky genes for sure and hates being groomed. From there, notice how the owner blames me for being neglectful. No ownership. They also acknowledge my Pomsky is under 20 pounds yet I was charged for a medium sized dog according to my receipt. So the owner doesn’t even know their own facts.
From there, we brush my dogs constantly. We went to western MD and took them swimming last week and they went through some gross stuff, hence why we got them groomed. To imply we neglect our dogs is disgusting and yet further evidence that people really need to stay away...
Read moreWe had been bringing our Husky to the Timonium location until the Towson opened up. We have a Husky and they really did a great job. We are very responsible Husky owners who know the challenges of having one. We were working with Lauren at the Towson’s location who was just so phenomenal. She was so good with him that we didn’t need to give him anything to calm him down before going.
The last time we brought him there in Oct/Nov of last year we dropped him off as normal for an appointment that was made with Lauren (unmedicated). When it was time to pick him up I returned, paid, and tipped as I usually do (very generously since we again know this is a special gift). At no point was I made aware anything had not gone as planned or that Lauren was not the groomer that day.
A different groomer brought him out, he was clearly terrified and soaking wet. She scolded me for not medicating and him and said that she was unable to do anything other than wash him. He was a mess- I don’t even think the shampoo was out!
I asked why I was not informed of anything before paying, and the young woman at the front desk just gave me a blank stare and the groomer continued to tell me how dissatisfied she was! Not sure why since she was about to get a HUGE tip meant for someone with compassion and skill. I asked about a partial refund since none of the services paid for were performed and we had been repeat customers for almost 4 years!! Again met with nothing.
My pup was so upset that I left as getting him out of there was much more important at the time.
I did follow up but did not receive any contact in return and...
