Bob's Discount Furniture and Mattress Store — Local services in Troy

I came to Bob’s with my niece. Both of us had separate orders for separate houses. We purchased four pieces of furniture total for about $3,500. First off, Mike D never told us there was a manual option for an electric couch he had just sold my niece, which would have been $200 cheaper. After she made the purchase, this came to light because I was interested in the same couch. She decided she was happy with the electric couch, but still would have liked to have been told about all options. After we both made our purchases, the next day, I went on the Bob’s website to look around. I discovered there is a delivery service known as “threshold” delivery where they just drop your furniture off, unboxed, at your house. Mike D took it upon himself to sign us both up for “white glove” delivery. I didn’t even know there was another option. I would have gone with “threshold” delivery from the start if I was made aware of it. Now I am stuck with a headache, trying to get the delivery changed to “threshold” because I don’t feel like paying $100 extra for the delivery men to carry the mattress a few feet to the next room when I’m capable of doing this myself. The main reason I came to Bob’s was because I thought they had low pressure salesmen. It turns out I got another typical shyster salesman. Very disappointed in my shopping...

My first experience shopping at Bob’s Furniture was amazing — all thanks to Mike! From the moment I walked in, he greeted me warmly and kept me laughing the entire time. He wasn’t pushy or overly salesy, but instead guided me perfectly to find exactly what I needed.

I also loved that the store has a customer area stocked with treats like candy, cookies, coffee, water, and even ice cream! Mike even told me to take a moment to enjoy them 😊 — such a thoughtful touch that really shows how much they value their customers. They’re honestly the first furniture store I’ve ever seen do this, and it made the experience even more enjoyable.

The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. Managers Kim and Tony also gave me great deals on the items I purchased 😁. I spent well over an hour in the store, and Mike remained patient, helpful, and genuinely attentive the entire time.

I went to Bob's for my first time today! My experience was awesome! A gentleman by the name of MIKE D waited on me, and when I say he walked through that whole sword me just so I can find what I needed! Well he succeeded. I love Bob's store the furniture in there is beautiful, it reminds me of when art van was around. So I felt so comfortable shopping in there! MIKE D was such a wonderfully experienced sales person, and we had fun! Bob's was so cute it's got a little coffee shop in there that serves you candy as well! And it was just the most wonderful furniture shopping experience that I have had in last 15 years! So thanks Bobs!
