Catalina Park — Local services in Tucson

This splash pad is secluded and that is my number one reason for loving it. It is never busy and we typically have it all to ourselves.

The splash pad is one of the dingiest ones, could use some sprucing up but it does the job.

There are 2 points of entrance that you are able to close, for me huge priority when I travel with 10 kids. Being able to close the gate gives me extra security.

There is no seating. So being foldable chairs unless you enjoy sitting on wet floors. No covering above the area either which isn’t ideal but not the end of the world.

Bathrooms are DISGUSTING and looks like homeless people explode in them. Sooooo pray you do not...

On February 4th 2025 I noticed my toddler about to put something in his mouth, when I take it from him, it was a tiny blue pill, I Google and find out it was oxycodone / Percocet which also contains fentanyl. Laters as he is going up the stairs I notice a straw which was used as a pipe and next to it a broken balloon and foil paper. Drug paraphernalia! This is truly sad and upsetting! This park has an amazing shaded playground and a cool splash pad, unfortunately I've also seen homeless showering and washing there clothes in the splash pad. We went here because Google said there was a splash pad for children. There was. What it did not say was that the splash pad is really a homeless washer machine and public shower. The restrooms were full of feces and urine and a lady was standing in her thong washing her bag of laundry next to the sign that says no washing and bathing.
