Went in for haircut after a recommendation from my wife’s hair stylist who is their sibling. Asked for sides to be brought up a bit because I prefer to have longer hair on sides and for the back of my hair ( was currently a mullet) to be cut off and left at end of my neck not completely removed. I very much still wanted to keep my mullet but wanted to bring it at a V on the back, I even showed reference pictures as to what I wanted as I have had this haircut for many years. Barber seemed to be distracted talking to what seems like a regular or friend and in the end I received a taper fade which I had not asked for. I have had plenty of bad experiences with barbers through the years due to their inability to listen and instead beat to the rhythm of their own drum without remembering that the ones paying for the haircut are paying for a service and not for the barber to do as they best see fit. The unfortunate thing about it is I was recommended by their sibling who is a stylist because I had told them my issues with barbers in the past and they reassured me that Niko is an amazing barber who listen to the client above all else.I now have to go through growing my hair out all over again. I payed and tipped but left dissatisfied at the experience.
