I have been here between 40 and 50 times. My bank account tells me I have spent about 2k. I will prob continue to go on Tuesdays, but I will set myself on fire before I go back on a Friday.
If you are ready to go toe to toe with someone that hasn't bathed in weeks and is willing to physically fight you for something so they can hawk it at a pawn shop or sell it on ebay, then go on Friday. Otherwise, steer clear until Monday.
I don't know about the male employees, but the women who work there are extremely patient and friendly. I don't know what they get paid, but I do know that whatever it is, it's not nearly enough.
If you go on Monday ($2 day) or Tuesday ($1 day) you have a good chance of finding things worth $10 or $15 that you might want. I went the day after Thanksgiving, and it was like how all Fridays are now. The rudest people ready to elbow people in the face get everything that is really good. People complain about getting yelled at for opening boxes - THEN DON'T OPEN THE BOXES. FFS they will do it for you at the front, no limit, but you have to go back to the end of the line after so many, which is reasonable. People are cutting open boxes, damaging what's inside, and spewing the contents out all over the place to move on to the next box.
People complain about getting told to do something about their screaming children that are running around like wild heathens. I don't think this is unreasonable. If anything, I think they should make people leave if they are not following the rules, are violent, or are not controlling their children.
If you think that's not reasonable, then you are part of the problem. If your immediate reaction is "but everyone else does it", then I have no idea how your logic has not also landed...
Read moreSo, I was curious about the hype. Why are people lining up every Friday outside this store? Naturally, I decided to investigate by showing up almost every day and three Fridays in a row. Here’s what I discovered:
It's a brilliantly organized business model where you get to pick up stuff that wasn’t successfully delivered or got sent back to Amazon. How charmingly convenient! These items are generally the bottom of the bargain bin on Amazon, which is why Amazon didn’t bother tracking them. Finding something expensive here is like finding a unicorn at a petting zoo. You have to channel your inner hoarder, stuffing your trolley with as much junk as possible and sorting through it before hitting the counter. Yes, this is the standard operating procedure. I bought six items on different days and tested them all. Shockingly, five out of six were defective. Surprise! This is why they were returned in the first place. The store attendant assured me that if I come on a Friday, I might find an iPad. Oh sure, because selling a high-end gadget for a few bucks is totally how they stay in business.
In summary, this place is where you go to waste your money on things you didn’t know you needed and...
Read moreI bought some protein ISO, multi collagen and some electrolyte powder from the Black Friday store in Tulsa on Saturday 2/26 they were sold separately all of them came in a sealed plastic bag as shown in the picture. I thought I got such a great deal, when I got home to open not only were they all open they were half empty!!! Since when is it legal to resale used food/supplements?? The sealed plastic bags lead you to believe they are unopened. I called the store this morning to complain and here’s what the man said “it is an isolated incident and he proceeded to tell me that I am to go to the front of the store have them open it for you, so he is telling me that the three separate products I bought that all come from different tables are isolated and I need a sealed plastic see through bag opened to see if supplements are open and used!!! He was absolutely no help and I’m sure that it is illegal to sell open and used food items, he said he can’t be sure I didn’t open them!! Lol keep your store !! Please do not buy any food or supplements vitamins or products like shampoo from them ! I...
