Update 8/24/2025: Lowering my review again to only a single star. This place is really a joke. Went on Sunday around 11:30 in the afternoon. So many of the games were simply broken. As in errors on the screen non-functional, or not providing tickets (yes e-tickets either), or simply broken to the point they were unplayable. Add onto those even more which were somewhat playable, but not really due to broken controls, etc. I would say it was a good 40% of their machines and most of the ones that can earn high tickets. I'm attaching tons of pictures to show this, these were all from the single visit today. It's like they just don't care at all anymore. Why would you even consider going, let alone having a birthday there if they thing this is acceptable? Lowering my review to 2 stars due to the changes over the past several years with tokens, points, tickets, and pricing. Chuck E. Cheese has got to be the worst among peers (Main Event, Incredible Pizza, D&B, etc) for ticket redemption and your ability to earn tickets. Most games you are lucky to win 10 tickets max unless you hit the jackpot, realistically you are earning about 3-5 tickets per game.
This is, of course, if you can play the games, since it is common for 25% of their games to be broken at any given time.
They are also the worst offenders of marking up the value of their prizes. I'm convinced the local store manager goes to nearby stores and buys clearance items - because I see many of the same things on their shelves that I see on clearance at Walmart, Ollie's etc. They sell a nerf gun for 8000 tickets (what they claim is the equivalent of $80 - 1 cent/point), that you can buy down the street for $15.
I know there are some people who are really good at games and can hit jackpots more than others, but a 60 minute play pass you can, best case scenario, have 240 plays. That's generously 2400 tickets an hour, but for most people it's probably 10-25% of that assuming you only play ticket games.
Most of their games are pretty old and, as mentioned, if not completely broken (error codes), then the controls are busted (can't aim guns), etc. The fact that they are aimed more towards kids is really the only way they get away with this, because a 7 year old is likely to just walk away not caring that their swipe didn't work or understand the (non) value of only getting 2 tickets.
I think, at the very least, this location should be tending to their games more. We were there on a Saturday afternoon most recently and it was packed. Must have had at least half a dozen parties going on. I didn't see a single employee going around monitoring the machines and there were many that were out of commission completely, and several we swiped on and couldn't play properly.
We've had a party there for our kids when they were about that age and it wasn't horrible, and I would like to acknowledge that maybe we and our kids aren't in the target demographic anymore. However, even just going with my 10 year old son now feels like a slog and their highly inflated redemptions are...
Read moreWe were here to celebrate my granddaughter's 4th birthday party, Unfortunately it was a terrible experience, We originally bought a package with 5 children and 4 adults, from 3-5pm Everything was ready when we arrived, But no balloons, response to my daughter was They ran out of helium, Ok, that happens, Package comes with drinks, My daughter ordered Sprite and root beer, Nope, out of root beer, Pizzas arrive without peppers, Yip, you got it, Out of peppers. We then had 4 more children and 3 adults surprise my granddaughter party, My daughter immediately added them to our group, Staff member brought the special cups and the game cards,
very important here, I know this review is long, So I'm adding this in the middle, The additional guest game cards we added @ full price, were swiped into game machines at around 4.50pm, By 5.35pm they no longer worked, The original party ones did work for two hours, More below,
The next hour and half the only time we saw any staff come to our tables was when one of our party went to the salad bar, someone ran over to say, That's going to be additional charge, WOW, was always Included before, Tables were never cleaned, even when a server said we needed to do the cake, We had to clean a part of the table to make room for the cake, Next is time to open gifts, AGAIN, No where to put gifts, we had to move to a close Booth, I totally understand, Trying to save money in staff, But at least provide a place for trash close to party and inform the host that no staff will assist during the party, Next part sealed the deal, Brought my daughter the bill, Almost $300 owed, INCLUDING $8.00 for a small plate of salad, Lol, My daughter went to talk to management, Then 3 servers appeared, I thought to start cleaning, NO!!!! to talk about my daughter's complaint right in front of our group, Are you kidding me??? This could get seriously NASTY 😡 Especially when our server came over and threw down the bill on the table and said QUOTE, " Here's the bill, pay what you want" Whoops, Talk about adding fuel to a blazing fire, Not good idea,
Oh BTW, I think they gave her a $30 something discount, But the $8.00 salad stayed,
But we decided it was best to finish the party, Since this was not the 1st BAD experience for all adults in the past, We will not bring anymore business to this restaurant, Especially with the added game cards mentioned above working less than 45 mins, Our guests decided it was just best to go ahead and leave,
You guys are in the party business, GET IT TOGETHER, if you're unable to accommodate a party, Say so!!! If you're only renting out a couple of tables, and families are on their own to keep everything cleaned up, SAY SO!!!! Parents do a lot of planning for kids birthday parties, everyone wants to have lots of pictures to look back on and most importantly they want HAPPY,...
Read moreParty coordinator was terrible & so RUDE!!! She failed to provide the things we'd already ordered online & paid for in advance like the balloons & gave us the wrong cake. She never gave us anything to cut the cake with and had to repeatedly ask her for a lighter to light my son's candle's even though the other table around us all had their candles lit. She didn't coordinate anything & we had to keep HER on track as she acted like she was high on something & not all there. She would roll her eyes if we requested the stuff we'd paid for! She didn't bring any cups or plates for the adults & we had to go ask another girl for that stuff. She also didn't let my son know when he could go into the ticket blaster until we repeatedly asked her why he'd not been given that chance when that's part of the birthday package. She of course gave us no new plates for the cake & once again failed to bring out the ice cream we'd paid extra for & had to repeatedly ask for that. She had the nerve to then ask if we wanted our ice cream with our cake even though we'd been asking for it. She never gave any guidance about what to expect & when so we were on our own to figure it out & keep track of the time. By contrast. last year we had his party there & the coordinator did her job perfectly & with a great attitude & really cared. This girl who I believe was called Destiny was terrible & acted resentful to do her job. Then after making many delays with getting our pizza, our plates, cups, knife to cut the cake, silverware for the cake, lighting the candles, getting the ice cream, letting him do the ticket blaster late she had the nerve to rudely ask us to move 25 minutes early from our reserved tables. She began cleaning up our tables & took our drinks we were still drinking. We had to ask for more cups as a result. She threw away the kid's party tickets and some of their goodie sacks which is a big deal to a 4 year old & not cool to make little kid's get upset at a party. This was the worst experience we've had there & so disappointed. There was no manager to be found anywhere to discuss this with. Only resentful acting teens who could not care less if little kid's are hurt or upset so this is NOT the job for them. Destiny if that's your name & you read this, you're in the wrong job. You need something I guess less demanding for you since providing cups, plates, balloons and a cake knife is too hard for you & since your idea of professionalism is rolling your eyes like an immature child when customers simply ask about the things they'd already paid for which are not there. I hope you enjoyed what happened in the end though & thank you for that girl!!! I guess...
