I’m writing another review because Tatianna (the owner) has decided to respond to my original review blatantly lying. She stated that she & her team went above & beyond for me as she “let me” pick a second dress after an employee made a mistake in saying I had the freedom to change my dress before June 2024 if need be. My date changed & my 1st dress was not suitable for the date so I called asking if it was POSSIBLE to switch dresses in April 2024. I never once demanded it be done & I literally had to calm Tatianna down during the call because she started yelling stating that the employee who serviced me caused her problems with multiple other brides. Because of Maddie’s mistake, Tatianna ended the call saying I could come in & try on different dresses. Again, I need to reiterate since Tatianna is trying to change the narrative, I never demanded to switch dresses or even get a refund, I simply asked if it was possible.
I also want to address her response to me “picking apart the dress”; Tatianna, you were 15 minutes late to my fitting & we had already discussed the issues I had with the dress that YOU stated would either be fixed with alterations or non-existent if we purchased the right size. The only thing I was doing was trying to save you time by getting to the point of what we had already discussed since you were running behind & came in with an attitude.
I never once mentioned the price UNTIL you poked me multiple times with the needles, rolled your eyes, & tried to act like I was the problem. Even then, all I said was “Tatianna, if you need us to come back we can but it looks like you’re having a bad day & I’ve spent too much money to have this experience.”
Lastly, I’m very glad you’re bringing up the sleeves because I purchased Maggie Sottero sleeves that were $400 & you gave me sample sleeves. After taking them to another seamstress, the inside of BOTH sleeves were stained with self tanner & the armpits were yellowed. Not only that, there were TWO stains on my dress which I don’t understand how that’s possible when you assured me the only reason my dress was inside out when I tried it on was to AVOID staining. So either, someone who works at your establishment tried my dress on or you allowed a customer to. I had to pay extra to remove all staining from the sleeves & the dress. But of course, you would try to blame me for that as well.
I sincerely encourage you to pay attention to your one star reviews; if they were wrong they wouldn’t ALL say the same thing: that you treat people poorly & you’re a poor seamstress. The fact that my new seamstress worked with you & corroborates my opinion & experience, as well as the fact that my dress is extremely easily altered when you tried to tell me “That’s just how Colby Johns are” after literally assuring me during my first appointment that anything I wanted done could be done tells me everything I need to know. I wish you well in your business,...
Read moreIf you are an "external bride" you did buy your dress from this business, do not go here. I went here bc it was recommended. It started off bad before I ever got to the appointment. I got a call 2 days before the appointment asking who I scheduled this appointment with, as she does not take external brides in the morning. External brides are Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I explained I made the appointment on line. No where on her website does jt indicate to schedule for a Tuesday or Thursday. I choose external bride and picked an open appointment.
She asked if I could come in later and I could not bc I had another appointment. I told her I took the day off work for this appointment. She said fine come in and I will take you. This gave me a bad feeling and had me extremely anxious for this appointment.
When I got there she was running around frantic and I could hear her talking about me the "external" bride that was not supposed to be there. She must have said it to me two more times. That was not my fault, I did not do anything wrong. It made me feel completely unwelcome. Like a second class citizen.
Things go down hill from here. She tells me I have the completely wrong under garments and she cannot work with them. I explained I was fitted at David's Bridal for this dress. She immediately got an attitude. "David's Bridal always does this putting brides in these bras that don't work" it ended with me leaving just about in tears. She felt there was too much of a gap and the bra was too high in the back. I told I thought my breasts were not complaining in the bra all the way. She was like really? You think that is the issue. I dont think so. She made a facial expression that made me feel dumb for even suggesting that.
There was no sensitivity. I felt like she never wanted me there to begin with. She did tell me to come back and she would take care of me. After that experience do I want to go back there? Would I be totally stupid to leave my dress in her hands?
We left. We went to Next to Me in Mentor. She confirmed I was not properly in the bra. She adjusted it and it was not nearly as bad as it was and could have been workable. I did end up with another bra that did fit better and a recommendation for another seamstress.
This should have been a fun happy day. Instead I was made to feel stupid and not valued as a customer.
I am sure she is fantastic to her brides that purchases dresses from her, as the reviews indicate, but not to those that don't. If your business is doing so great then don't take external brides period.
It was an awful experience and I am sure I will be better off in the end not leaving my dress in her hands. I am sure she will be fine with me not coming back because she didnt want my business in the...
Read moreThis saddens me give this store a one star it had been such a great place. That's why we originally went there to get my daughter's wedding gown. The original appointment was lovely. Picking the dress was wonderful, but once the money was put down and I was locked in to the purchase that was no longer the case.
We ordered the dress in May of 2023 in February of 2024. My daughter called to find out the status of the dress. We knew it was going to take a while but we just wanted to see the status. She was told it would be in in May. This seemed long but we accepted it. She then received a phone call from the owner who must have been having some issues with employees and she was interrogated about why she called what she was being told by others. My daughter wasn't being told anything from anybody but was then told the dress would be in in July for her September wedding.
This caused her to have a lot of anxiety and fear she started searching for a new dress. I told her to hold on it would be okay. I then got a text message from this shop saying that I needed to make $100 payment on the dress. I called to say that this was not something that I was comfortable doing because I wasn't even sure the dress would come in. I was told that this was normal, because the manufacturer decides when to make a dress based on the wedding date. I never heard of this happening. I asked the employee why I wasn't told that information at the time of purchase so I could make a decision on whether or not to continue the purchase or lie about the wedding date. She became defensive and angry was yelling at me. I never raised my voice. But I just wanted an answer because this seemed that a dress should not come in 2 months before a wedding. She then said it'll be in next month and hung up on me.
Thankfully the dress came in last week. We went to pick it up. The employee brought the dress out in the garment bag, unzipped it halfway and said okay, let's make the final payment. Never took it out of the bag for us to check it. I did that myself. The veil we bought was rolled into a ball shoved into a blue canvas bag at the bottom of the garment bag. I'm thinking that the veil was the sample veil and they only said it was a new one. A new one would have been packaged, not rolled into a ball. My daughter cried because picking up her gown should have been such an exciting and wonderful but it turned into nothing more special than buying a bag of potatoes.
They will treat you wonderful when you go in for your initial appointment to buy a gown. But once you've put half...
