Rave! This is a long review but it is worth the read.
I went into the Smartphone ER (Broadway location) on September 9th to get my S22 Ultra's screen replaced. The repair was done within an hour. Long story short, shortly after I realized that there was an issue with my front facing camera. This issue didn't exist prior to me going into the repair shop, because I used the camera not even an hour before. I instantly was concerned, because I'm a content creator on multiple platforms and on multiple subjects. This is part of my income. In a few weeks (from that day) I was start a well waited for blog and highly requested videos/pictures on a trip overseas, so the cameras on my phone are extremely important. The cameras are the main reason that I even purchased the phone, because toting around heavy cameras equipped was getting tiring. Anywho.
I take the phone back into the shop the next morning and let them know about the issue with the camera. The guy takes a look at it and thinks it's an easy repair and says maybe a piece of film was left on the inside. I go and wait an hour for the camera solution. Skipping ahead again, we find out that the camera has to be replaced. I am told a 5 day time frame for the order and repair.
I wait the 5 days and didn't hear anything, so I called the shop. I was very concerned after I told that they could not find the part at any of their vendors, and then told that it may take 2 months to get the the part. Skipping ahead again, Sam (the owner) calls me and he is very aware of my concerns and tells me a few things that he has planned, but unfortunately I'm on a time limit. I asked if I find someone else to fix the camera, if he would take care of the invoice. Sam agreed. I called everywhere and even went to AT&T and called Samsung and was told by several people that the camera was not repairable and that I would need a new phone. This really bothered me.
After talking to Sam about this he gathered his whole team to get a solution. Sam's tech and sales man told me that they would be able to repair it. I had my doubts, because Samsung makes the phone and said it was irreparable, but I could tell that these guys were pretty confident. As a team, they came up with a plan to get the part as fast as possible.
Today is September 19th. I go into the shop and give my phone to Moody. I've already talked to Sam and his sales guy. The sales guy (I forgot his name but he is awesome), assures me that they will take their time and fix the issue. By the time that I dropped the phone and returned back home (no more than 30 minutes), my phone was fixed.
I am beyond pleased with the services that Sam and his team provided for me, despite the whole accident. Things are prone to go wrong, but Sam and his team did everything to make things right and THAT IS WHAT MATTERS. They were just as concerned about my phone and situation as I was. Not only that, they fixed a phone that even the manufacturer deemed irreparable!!!
Sam and his whole team recieves a 5 STAR review from me and my husband. They were professional, honorable, and beyond sincere. They assured me the whole time that my happiness as a customer was very important to them. Thank you Sam and thanks to the rest of your team!!!!!!! You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChoose wisely. Quoted a good price to replace the screen on my LG Nexus phone and said had a 30 day warranty. Screen was ordered and I payed half. Was quoted $130 to replace the screen. After tax it was $140 and change. They had me pay half of the $140 and when it rang up they had charged me tax on the $70. When I went to pick up my phone and pay the other half they tried to charge me tax again on $70. I had to explain and show my receipt so I didn't end up paying $150 total. No worries, I thought. Screen was replaced and it looked like a good job. Fast forward a week and a half... The screen started popping out of the bottom corner. No worries, they warranted their job for 30 days. I took it in and dropped it off. When I picked it up I had no issues. The guys were all nice and professional and explained it was an issue with the screen, but they had glued the corner down. In my head I was thinking shouldn't they get a new screen, but as long as the problem was taken care of I was good. I should also mention the guy that actually does the work only works 8-5. I picked the phone up after 5 so the sales guy was just relaying what was written down. As I was inspecting my phone I noticed the screen was fixed but my power button was stuck in. The next morning I took it in to get him to fix it and they took my phone on the back for about five minutes then came out and said the tech had an emergency and was gone for the day. This was Friday, so I had to wait until the next week to take it back in. Took it in Tuesday and dealt with a different guy than I had so far. Explained the issue and left the phone. When I went to pick it up that afternoon he explained it was a broken solder and they had fixed it for me, but it wasn't part of the screen and was my fault. I explained that it had worked perfectly before after the initial replacement and was stuck in when I picked it up after they had worked on it. He said well they weren't charging me, but it's good now and there's not gonna be anymore repairs made to it. To their credit it is serviceable but not still recessed more than it was.
My issue is it IS part of the screen replacement because they have to take the buttons out of the broken screen and place them in the new screen. If they have that type of attitude and will not really guarantee their job for the full 30 days then I do not recommend them for screen replacement. Their other services may be ok, but they don't stand behind their work so I would not recommend them.
Update: one of the managers has reached out to me apologizing and offered to make sure my repair is done satisfactorily. I would give them a 3 star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have a PS4 Pro. It started having problems. Like the first problem was getting stuck in safe mode. I looked on YouTube to figure it out and did everything I could but it didnāt work. I read the comments and they said get a new hard drive because 9/10 itās the hard drive going bad. So I called them up took it down to their shop and they said theyāll look into it. I told the shop that it could be the hard drive so they did their best to fix the problem without me having to spend extra money to buy a hard drive. Got it back and they told me it was a corrupted file. All I had to pay was the diagnostic fee. Couple days later, I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh And I was building my deck and the keyboard text wouldnāt work. Iām like aw man , whatās going on. So I went on YouTube again and tried to fix it but little did you know after I initialize it, I couldnāt put in my internet password word to add the code because it gets froze on the keyboard text. Iām glad I already ordered my hard drive because it needed replacement anyways, and after watching so many YouTube videos I new it was the hard drive. It was going slow, freezing, turning off by itself. So when my hard drive got here I told the shop itās starting to get froze on the system storage update and I canāt type anything on the keyboard no more, they took it back so they can look at it and I told them to just go ahead and put my new hard drive in. I didnāt have to pay nothing because I was still under their warranty. They also kept me up to date as well. Itās working great now, I upgraded to a 2tb. But I will also say this, I been here like 2 years ago to get my cousin ps4 fixed and they told me what was the problem and etc, and until this day itās still working good. I definitely...
