This has been, by far, the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with an educational institution. My daughter and I worked with someone named Roy, who clearly lacked the knowledge and professionalism expected from someone in his role. He was unable to answer even the most basic questions and simply repeated a rehearsed script during every conversation. Communication was a nightmare as he often took two or more days to respond to emails or phone calls. At one point we didn’t hear from him for over a month and was later told that he was on leave. No one communicated this during the many attempts to reach him at the school. My daughter was eager to start the program in October, but due to Roy’s lack of responsiveness and poor communication, her start date was pushed to February because October had filled up. Roy had previously instructed her to complete four prerequisite classes on a separate site as quickly as possible to qualify for the October start. She did exactly that and paid for each class individually, only to find out it was all for nothing, a complete waste of time, money, and effort caused by his incompetence. After this frustrating experience, my daughter began to question the legitimacy of the school, especially after reading numerous reviews from other students who described similar issues and even labeled the school a scam. She then requested that all future communication be done in writing via email for transparency. Instead of honoring this reasonable request, Roy became defensive and abruptly stated that he no longer wanted to work with her. When I called the school to escalate the issue to someone above Roy, I was told that I would be contacted by either the director or operations manager. Since no one reached out as promised, I contacted the school again and got in contact with the Operations Manager, who was just as unprofessional. There was zero accountability for what had happened. She stated that my daughter’s questions about the school’s legitimacy and her request for written communication were “disturbing” and, as a result, she no longer wanted my daughter to attend the school. If the school truly offered what they claimed during the initial meeting, there would be no issue providing everything in writing. But clearly, that’s not the case. Based on our experience and the many negative reviews we’ve read, it’s clear that this school has a pattern of misleading students, poor communication, and failing to deliver on promises once they’ve received your money. We are now seeking an accredited school with a solid reputation, and honestly, we’re grateful we didn’t move forward with this program only to regret it later. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This school is not worth your time,...
Read moreWhen I looked at their student handbook, I felt uneasy. Why is there a picture of a guy rubbing his wife pregnant stomach as their front page. It’s a school handbook not a birth announcement. All the pictures on the website seem to be old, of graduating classes. Even after those huge red flags I still Went to find out more info for sonogram program, the guy I met with was trying so hard to sell me on the fact that they are Caapeh certified, they are NOT ARDMS-certified, since I don’t have prior college credits I was told I can take the pre requisite courses online on some website for 90$ monthly fee plus 75$ each course and that it’s an accredited online college. It was called starlink or something like that. So besides the 30$ grand I would have to pay basically 500$ to take these courses online before the start of the Sono program. What a joke. I should have left right there, but we’ll keep going the tour of the classrooms had old equipment, it was hot and smelled of old stall air. Obviously who ever runs the school pockets the money and doesn’t upgrade or buy new equipment for classes. PLEASE make sure to go On the official ARDMS website to make sure a school is registered before going, so basically if I was to go here, because I don’t have my associates degree for me to even sit for the boards I would have to do 24 month program, complete it, then hope and pray I can get hired somewhere for a minimum Of a year before I can sit for exam. Who will hire someone not ARDMS certified? No one. After leaving the school, I never received a follow up email from them, like “ feel free to reach out if you have any more questions “ no nothing. Schools like this shouldn’t be able to operate selling people on dreams, knowing damn well they are withholding the fact that they are not registered with ARDMS. I hope this review helps someone else, not waste their time and money on...
Read moreMy name is Genesis. I am a former student of the ultrasound program at Healthcare Training Institute. I am extremely thankful for the staff at HTI for helping me throughout my journey. I was super nervous throughout the program and wasn’t too sure I would even be able to successfully complete the program, pass any registry exam and find a job. Thankfully, I had an amazing instructor, Dr.Mirza. He goes above and beyond for his students. Very thorough in lectures and in lab. Each and every clinical site I went to during the program was great! I went to Mountainside Medical Center, St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson and Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. The staff at those hospitals were amazing!! I learned so much from those experiences. The clinical coordinator at HTI, Gae, does an incredible job working with the students to make sure they are doing well during externship.
The program was definitely no joke and took lots of dedication and work. I was fortunate enough to be able to sit for the ARDMS registry exam after clinicals because I have my bachelors degree. I’m super happy to finally say I did it and working in the field thanks to Joy who helped me find a job almost right after finishing clinicals. I am grateful for everyone at the school because I finally have a career and one...
