I went to Metro yesterday in a definite bind. I was short on cash, had a shattered phone and was looking to temporarily return service to an old device. When the very patient Mo behind the counter had tried to get that to work for approximately 30 minutes, without success, I felt defeated! Mo didnt miss a beat. He did some creative work behind the scenes and knowing I was temporarily limited financially, somehow ended up handing me a new phone, i could afford, that was actually an upgrade for me. I was floored that this guy went so far out of his way without saying a word to help a customer he had never met before, 5 minutes before closing. He really is an amazing person on top of knowing his job and his products well. Several times in the past i felt i knew as much as the people behind the counters and that wasn't good!
This store really has it down. I have met others working in this location over the years but the current team is really great. This franchise owner would definitely do well to recognize this and work to keep these guys. In addition to probably keeping me a Metro customer forever Mo restored my faith in humanity a little. He treated me kindly, respectfully, efficiently... The way we all hope to be treated when we walk in to a business.... But seldom are. I was glad my 13 year old was there to see how i would be proud to have him behave when he gets a job in a few years!
Mo, thanks for a great experience. Your amazing customer service was very much...
Read moreAVOID THIS STORE! I called prior to arriving to this location to ask if they had a particular phone in stock. I told her I wanted a new line and a new number. Before answering my question she asked, "your porting your number or getting a new number?" I told her that I was getting a new number. However, when I arrived and signed up for a new line I had decided to keep my number and just port it in. She went and got the iphone that I wanted, which was a large discount due to me porting a number. But when she confirmed that I was assigning a new number I told her, "no, I decided to port in my current number so that I can keep my number and get the large discount." This is when the girl "helping" me told me that she could not sell me the iphone if I was porting in my number. I showed her their website where it said I get this iphone for free if porting in my number, but she put the phone she had already opened and pulled out of the box, back down under her desk and asked me to leave her store! Because I wanted to get the large discount and, I am assuming lower the amount of commission this person was going to make, she would no longer sell me the iphone or even sign me up for a new unlimited line! This is truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life!

Read moreI went into this Metro PCS store on 19th and Mildred on Monday September 23. I was upgrading 2 of my 4 phones. When the girl was getting my new phones activated I noticed she was putting on a screen protector. I just thought maybe it comes with that brand of phone. I had declined to purchase the covers. When she rang me up she said I got a small discount for buying 2 phones. I was looking at my receipts, she rang up phones separately, and she charged me $25 for the screen protector on each phone! I went back in the store and asked her why? She said it was for the discount on the phones I got for buying the screen protectors. No, she never said anything about screen protectors for the discount. She then goes "so you don't want them?" No I dont. She asked if cash refund wasOK? She gave me $50 cash (not the $2.61 tax each) and no paperwork they were returned. Seems kinda shady. I have had Metro PCS for 10 years and this has never happened before. I guess it's OK with her to charge for something I never asked for. So watch your receipts for charges you didn't ask for. I was so mad, that's basically stealing my money and she...
