2 things to share.
1.) The food was NOT good, and that isn't because of what I'm about to say. It just wasn't good food. I got the General tso's and it was soggy and old so was the rice.
2.) I randomly ran into an old co-worker of min,e whom I worked with for 4 years, while entering the establishment and the co-worker walking in behind me. It was clear the old co-worker was going through something, and was possibly even homeless. I ordered my food while engaging in conversation about what we've been up to with said ex co-worker and when I was finished he went to "order". He was whispering to the cashier and next thing I know the cashier is shooing this man out of his store. I see what is going on and offer to buy my ex co-worker a meal, but the cashier refuses to let ME buy another meal for this man. Even when my coworker effortlessly left the restaurant and did not fight or battle the man. He respectfully listened and walked away. Even as I was saying goodbye to this Co worker and asking him to stick around for me outside the cashier was yelling and gesturing for him to leave.
I understand the possibility that this person could view my ex co-worker as a "nuisance". But I feel that it was wrong for them to deny ME the option to buy this man a meal, not just as a man in needa but as someone I know personally and who has a child and a large heart. It was my money. Not his. The ex co-worker listened to the cashier. It put a sour taste in my mouth (and so did the food).
I will not be returning to this place and I wish that I requested a refund had I known the food was...
Read moreWell due to covid my usual teriyaki place closed and new owner took over. Too high priced , so looking for another place so I tried this place. Customer service was great but when the owners are down playing other teriyaki restaurants and trying to verbally get you on as a regular that's a red flag for me. I have preferred the chicken and beef teriyaki and I asked for salad and ended up with triple the rice when I said I did not want all the extra rice and it was over cooked. I messed around and ordered the fried rice and shrimp and vegetable tempura and I will never do that again. I'll just stick to the teriyaki. They do not know how to make fried rice period. I have no idea what that was I ended up with looks like they took zucchini, carrot, a ton of onion, beef, chicken and threw it together and Said wa la.... And the tempura OMG was God awful it was cooked in very old grease wasn't even edible. That did it for me. My last straw. I'll find somewhere else if I have to go...
Read moreI would give a 0 if I could. Yesterday, my Mom and I came to this restaurant to get some good eats. We ordered a bento box, egg rolls with gyozas and two drinks. We received the egg rolls and gyozas but not the bento box. After a few minutes, I asked if the bento box was ready. She aggressively said we didn't pay for the food and she was not even the one who took my order. The person who took my order was in the back.
Instead, she could have ring us up for another bento box. The yelling at my Mom and accusations that we were wanting free food was unnecessary. I never trust angry people with making my food. I was concerned that she was going to do something to my food over a simple misunderstanding anyway. We decided to walk out.
Never in my life have I been yelled at over an order. This was one of my favorite spots so this experience was highly disappointing and unexpected.
0/10 customer service. Would not recommend. The gyozas...
