Treatment Failure - Poor Communication - Refusal to Fund Fixture treatment or process any sort of a refund.
USER BEWARE. I am an Active Duty Military member. I went to use Dr. Kas’s services over 18 months ago when he worked under the umbrella of what was called Medical Man Cave in San Diego. He has since re-invented his business under a new entity called SpartanMD. I paid for the hair transplant surgery and followed every instruction post surgery to ensure my best result. I was guaranteed that at least some portion of where my transplant was done would be filled back in. Through my treatment I was assured that my recovery was healthy. In short, my hair transplant was a complete failure and there is little to no difference from pre operation to post operation. Be advised that all of this was under Dr. Kas’s responsibility and it has nothing to do with the entity he worked with or for.
I attempted to contact Dr. Kas as I was issued military orders to be stationed in Japan. He was incredibly difficult to get an answer from. After months of reaching out to get in touch with him, we spoke. I told him I was unhappy with my treatment and that I would like to be refunded or have the surgery redone by another doctor with a healthy track record. He told me no he would not fund the treatment and expected the treatment to be paid for once again and that no refund would be offered. I am not the only patient of his that has run into this same issue with his office. He issued that I should reach out to his “office manager” who is his Spouse and speak with her about any “further questions” I may have as that is the “appropriate” route.
Dr. Kas has distanced himself from Medical Man Cave but my issues have nothing to do with Medical Man Cave. My issues lie within his area of responsibility where my surgery was a failure and he won’t take necessary action to adjudicate the issue.
At this point I am now being ignored by Dr. Kas when asking for a response from him.
