Venice Village — Local services in Venice

This is my favorite Publix to go to. Always neat and clean. Everyone is so very helpful as well. I started at the customer service desk. Kathy assisted me with a huge smile. I love her bubbly personality. I stopped by the deli and got the same, polite, happy personality ( I can't remember their name, but she is a regular woman behind the counter there). Up front, I got the pleasure of Mik assisting me. Again, the happiness, smiles, and politeness I received made me feel happy myself. It must be a requirement to work there. Lol. Lastly, I interacted with another kind gentleman. He was on the spectrum, but I can't remember his name. Man of few words, but he does grunt his approvals. He watched my cart while I went to the restroom. So sweet. At first interaction, you think he is not so happy, but he is truly a delight. I commend this Publix for their staff choices. Publix is always good doesn't matter which one you go to and any part of the state they're all basically the same the staff is always very nice and very helpful. The only thing I wish they would improve on and I know it's part of the rule is that they acknowledge the customer within 10 ft and I have to say that even though I pass a store manager and they don't say hello when they're not doing anything is kind of irritating but I'm not willing to let that dissuade me from going to one of my favorite stores. Just make sure you guys keep up on greeting your customers within that 10 ft radius even if you're busy or having a bad day acknowledge the customer's presence it helps a lot. There are two reasons I visit this shopping center. One is to drop off items to donate to Goodwill. The other is to visit the satellite post office. That’s just north of Winn Dixie. Although there are exceptions usually it’s not real busy and it’s very convenient to do mailing chores and that includes priority mail which I use frequently. But they also have a number of other things you might find of interest. including cards and things like that. Plus you can also get boxes, tape and related supplies needed for shipping.
