Don’t do it. You’ll be disappointed. I’m local and can honestly tell you that this restaurant has tanked in the last few years. It’s not because we’re in season. It’s like this year round now. The prices keep increasing while the food gets worse and the portions get smaller. I usually get a center cut sirloin. I’ve been getting them from Outback for 20 years. They’ve gone from tender, flavorful, generous portions, to grisly, SMALL, and have little flavor. Mine was cold by the time we got home (6min from the restaurant). Tonight (order # 34185356315492360) my side salad which was the same size as my husband’s (undersized) entree salad had exactly two see through cucumbers, a quarter ring of see through onion, and a half a grape tomato. My daughter and I both got hard, stale fries that tasted like they had been out for hours. I even paid $2 extra to get them “Aussie Cheese Fries” style and got almost no cheese, no ranch, and my portion was HALF the size of the kids meal side my daughter got. And I was really looking forward to that ranch. If my 5 year old says the fries taste bad, that’s really saying something. Homegirl never met a french fry she didn’t like. On top of that, they literally always get our to go order wrong. Tonight we happened to get a random mashed potato, so at least we weren’t missing anything (except my ranch! I’m so sad because it’s honestly the best here), but how can you expect to charge people like they’re at a fine restaurant and serve disgusting sides, charge for a meal sized salad that is the same size IN THE SAME CONTAINER as a side salad (I know they didn’t used to come in the same container and I cannot believe you’re charging $18 for that), and forget parts of the order that are printed in the slip right in front of you? I used to call to just let them know that the orders weren’t right or whatever as a courtesy because I’ve been in customer service management forever and I’d want to know if it was my business, but it’s just not worth it. It doesn’t get better and they obviously aren’t trying to do better. So if you’ve read this far, I hope you’re on your way to...
Read moreBeen coming to this Outback for 20 years ; steady member of the loyalty program for years and years. Today I was treated SO rudely not just by one person, but by the host, some waitress and the manager who I got on the phone after I left. Hostess had nothing to do but let us stand there like idiots ; she didn’t even look at us. We waited for a bar table to be cleared (there were 2 dirty ones). One finally got emptied/cleaned up. New coasters, so we proceeded to go over there to sit down. I sat down right into a huge blob of mustard/some sauce and got back up. The waitress came and mocked me for even sitting down instead of offering me a cloth to wipe my pants. Smugly then proceeded to tell me that “I wasn’t supposed to sit there anyway” (I guess that makes it all alright). For 20 years the bar tables have been open seating ; not sure when that changed. It was not busy, there was NO ONE else waiting, so why wouldn’t we sit there ? We left and I then called the manager who basically also did not care. So Outback, by 3 of your employees it was made clear to us that you didn’t care if we were there or not, including the manager who didn’t even want to listen to me. There are not supposed to be huge blobs of something on the benches when the tables are cleaned up. No apologies, no help offered to clean up, and when we started leaving simply a smug “byeeee”. Wow, business has certainly changed. Can’t rate the food because we got no chance to even sit down, let alone order something. What a huge disappointment you have become Outback Venice, I got the advice to speak to the proprietor Ashley tomorrow……which I...
Read moreOutback used to be our favorite place to eat. The last 2times has been very disappointing. First time it took forever to get our food and when it did come it was cold. I had the blooming onion chicken meal, son had steak n chicken .The manager did take my meal off the bill. This last time we went about 2 weeks ago was awful. My son had a steak n chicken, load baked potato without sour cream n chives, fork tender broccoli. When his meal came it was cold and so was my cheese burger. Sent his back and when it came back, his steak or chicken had no seasoning. The manager came out,was not very nice. Took his plate again and this time when it came back there was sour cream n chives on his baked potato and he has celiac and they put bread on his plate. The waitress was told before the orders was placed that he has celiac. I tried to eat my cold cheese burger ,yuk! The waitress we had kept forgetting things. My son finally got up and walked out. He never did eat there and I had only a half of the burger. Waitress finally came back n said the manager took the meals off but I had to pay for my ice tea!! When our out of state family would come for a visit we always would take them to Outback. Our favorite...
