I used to love Panera but their prices have gone up over the years while quality has stagnated if not plummeted.
We went around dinner time at 5 PM. Store was pretty much empty with a few employees working.
Cashier was friendly but one of the employees who I assumed was the manager was yelling at staff and was under stress. It looked like they were understaffed and they had orders that came online. I saw people outside waiting in their cars parked at the pick up only spots.
One of the employees let us know they are locking the front door so customers can’t come in the store because they are understaffed..? Okay.
I ordered soup for nostalgia - I ate this often in the past. It wasn’t hot enough and the taste was just okay. I realized I’ve made better chicken wild rice soup at home.
Soup was cheaply made too since wild rice is expensive and there wasn’t a lot of it in the soup. For $10 or more a pop it’s not worth it.
The worst part? They forgot the baguette. The one thing that they’re known for is the bread: Panera “bread” and they forgot the baguette.
They gave me cold bread.
Tagged them on Instagram and got an apology and a coupon.

Read moreFood is on a par with other "Panera" places, but the last two times I have been at this one and ordered anything more than drinks or pre-prepared pastry, this location has been badly slow and discombobulated. Woman taking orders tonight didn't seem properly trained, and thus very slow. After ordering my sandwich, I asked a simple question ("Do you have cole slaw?"), fully prepared for the answer to be no, which it was. But rather than answering, she scrolled through option after option on her screen, taking up time, before saying "I guess we don't, sorry." Shouldn't staff be trained to know what products the place has? And then she took an unGodly amount of time to make change. Food pickup at the back also seemed slow. . . . Previous visit was an online order for curbside-pickup to my ca, where the wrong order was brought, only then to seem forgotten and had to call in from my iPhone and navigate the voice-phone maze to get the right order. . . . Not impressed with these folks. Other than maybe to receive a drink discount on a reward I've earned, no plans to return. Don't recommend for anything but drinks and...
