This experience took place at 06:45 pm on July 18, 2021. This was my first time coming to the Silverspot Cinema! I was able to locate with ease! I can purchase my ticket easily at a kiosk / touchscreen monitor. The theater is absolutely gorgeous and inviting! It is quite upscale and cozy! I was coming to see the movie: Black Widow. The seats are comfortable and they also recline! If you don't arrive at least 10 - 15 minutes before your scheduled showtime, then you will have to order online instead of having a server come to you at your seat. I want to point out something: not everyone owns a smartphone! This process should not be limited to 1 - 2 ways. It should be at least 3 different ways to place an order. My smartphone doesn't allow me to scan QR codes, so there was a bit of a conundrum that took place before I was finally able to place my order at the bar! I ordered my food and went inside the theater to wait for it to arrive. About 40 minutes later, the servers start coming inside the theater with the food. Apparently, there is no organization or system at this theater. I received 2 different orders before receiving my own order that I placed: A signature burger with French fries. I also ordered a sweet tea to accompany the meal! I received my food first, but no drink! I waited another few minutes before I began to eat. The server said that the drink runner would come and deliver my drink and then walked off. Well I ate my entire plate of food and I still never received my drink! I had to leave out of the theater and ask the lady where my drink was at?!?! She ran away for about 10 minutes and came back to tell me they were essentially out of tea. She brought back these two small children sized cups: one was made with sweet tea and the other was an Arnold Palmer (sweet tea and strawberry lemonade). I am just repeating what she told me she was serving / had available. The drinks were tasty, however, I had to miss some of my movie to get them which wouldn't have been all that bad had I gotten an apology. The signature burger that I ate was the worst burger I have ever eaten in my life thus far! It had absolutely no seasoning on it whatsoever. It was not cooked exactly how I asked. The sauce was either nonexistent or barely added! The fries were decent, but nothing exciting or unique! I have tasted burgers that were crafted with more love and creativity than this! Absolutely dreadful from start to finish! I wanted to order more food, but I was hesitant to do so because it took almost an entire hour for me to get the food that wasn't even worth the $16 I spent! I won't be coming back to this theater because the service was not extraordinary! It was too much of a journey for me to get to it! I missed portions of my movie because of the disorganization of the food servers. The food was not scrumptious! I just didn't feel valued as a first time guest! I wanted to talk to a manager, but he seemed rather frustrated and busy! I will be sticking to my usual location! This place is not worth the journey or money! It seems like chaos and confusion is the norm! Please learn how to treat your customers and make sure you learn how to cook a simple burger and French fries as well as learn how to apologize when you...

UPDATE:

I wanted to provide an update since it looks like I received a response to my review. I want to say first that I truly appreciate even just receiving a response, because some places will never acknowledge your review at all, so I do truly appreciate that. Unfortunately, the email address that was left for me to contact is one that I had already emailed before.

So, a few months ago back when this all happened, I actually received a response from a request I submitted online, and it was from the same person with that email address asking for more info on what happened. I then responded back, but I still have not received a response (which is why I left this negative review to begin with, so we are kind of back at square one). So it sounds like the email is just being provided as a way to deter from the fact that there will not be a resolution. Since I have already tried emailing that same email address before and I have not received a response, I’m going to assume that I never will, which is fine. At this point, I don’t plan on coming back, but I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else might be experiencing the same things.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Pay close attention to the most RECENT reviews. Sort them by “Newest” and you will find something very interesting, a decline in good customer service and this lack of care in general. Please note that I have had MULTIPLE bad experiences before my recent one, and I have been to this theater a number of times since 2022.

So, I have been to this cinema multiple times, and each experience has gotten a little bit worse in its own way. The most recent occasion was the worst - I never even received my food. I’m frustrated because I didn’t want to get up and leave the theater because I really wanted to enjoy the movie and not miss anything, but I feel like I should have. I ordered through the app and I saw it said “Order on the way,” but it literally just never arrived. All I ordered was popcorn and a drink, simple concessions. I even attempted to contact their customer service team, which started off well; I received an email from the food supervisor asking for more information. But of course (like I knew was going to happen), there was no follow up after.

So, I’m unfortunately never going back to this cinema unless someone else pays for me or I get some free ticket vouchers. I like giving places a chance because things happen, but back to back negative experiences that keep getting worse isn’t a good sign. And from the other reviews, it sounds like they don’t care. They would probably care if they were the ones receiving bad service, but in the end, just like with all things, most don’t care until they are directly affected...

Long Review Alert! The boujee (however you spell it lol) in me pushed me to drag my wife to the Silverspot for an afternoon date. I know it would be different experience and since there are only a handful of locations Nationwide I wanted the experience prior to moving away from Atlanta. I've been eyeing the cinema since it was built and Covid19 prolonged it's opening. Well, I did not read reviews to allow myself an experience without prejudice. Here are PROs and CONs of our visit. CONs Not a cheap date option. Their service model is based on "order your dine in items now we won't be back to check on you after we drop of your last item" which caused us not to get a chance to ask for a knife or a to-go box for a pricey hamburger. I wrapped it in a few napkins and grabbed a box on our way out of the front door by the bar. Although everything was clean the fact that the 1st landing and several steps in the actual theater were wet with NO WET FLOOR sign can cause some major injuries. I walked up and down those stairs twice before the movie started and they were still visibly damp. The quality of food compared to the cost was not balanced. If I am paying prices like that I want my foods to be just a little more elevated. We had pretzel bites, the burger and Chicken Philly. Not bad but hey...it was basic. Since payment is collected right away you are basically prompted for a tip prior to services being completed. Not professional in my opinion. I don't tip my nail tech or car detail person prior to services rendered. Just a thought.

PROs Online booking experience was smooth and definitely not complex. I like checking out without having to create an account. Super clean restrooms and upkeep of the establishment is very apparent. Literally no evidence of wear and tear. Smooth check in and friendly welcome. Parking tickets are validated for 3 hours of FREE parking which is directly across the street. We look for disability friendly establishments and the drop off and pick up curve is a plus. Carbonated Soft Drinks are generally priced comparable to their dine in cinema counterparts. Cups are HUGE in my opinion and should not require a refill for 1 unless you really like your SODA.

Overall the experience was balanced. I was on the verge of 4 stars but decided on 3 because I didn't experience anything that would make me go find another Silverspot. We like trying new things but we don't return for 3s or 4s. We return to 5 star...

First time here and it was a pretty decent experience. Family of 5 (all adult tickets), everyone ordered something to eat and drink. Here's the low down: FOOD: C+ Pepperoni flatbread = B (came hot, tasted good, semi worth the price) Popcorn = A (hot, fresh, decent portion for medium or large but small not worth it) Mojito= C ($16, fresh mint, not really worth price) Crispy Chicken Sandwich = C (it's not Chick-fil-A, more like a Wendy's chicken sandwich...does Wendy's have chicken sandwiches?? Well, I guess point made.) Philly Cheese steak on hoagie = A (seriously, I loved this, hit the spot for me tonight.) SERVICE: B- They prefer you to arrive a half hour early so that your orders don't interfere with the movie, we didn't know this ahead of time so many service will be better next time but they took a bit to bring out our orders and had to be reminded for one. The buns on the chicken sandwich were oddly cold, would have been better toasted like the hoagie bun on my Philly. We appreciated the servers though and everyone got their tips. CLEANLINESS: A- Very clean. Wasn't very busy tonight like we expected it would be (Christmas Eve) so, they had time to keep up with cleaning tasks and you could tell. It looked good. I only got the ick when I had to put my whole hand on the knob to get out the bathroom rather than just slide the lock thing like you do in most stalls, this bathroom stall was fully enclosed with a full front door and I feel like I was in the shining with those creepy red doors. Good vibe for a horror movie. Still, really happy with the upkeep. PARKING: A- Parking is directly next door in the parking garage and was very easy to find a spot, big plus that the 0-3 hour parking was FREE. But, be warned some of the stairwells were completely dark, no lights, we never backed out so fast. Again with the horror movie vibes. COST: B- (cost for value) Overall, for everything we ordered including 5 adult tickets for a 6pm Sunday night movie we were out about $220. Take that for what you will. The movie was at a good volume, not too loud and not too low. It was the perfect temperature inside. Reclining seats were comfy. Ordering process was straight forward. We think it was worth it for a Christmas Eve movie night but, we will be saving it for our date nights alone or special occasions and hitting up AMC early bird tickets for the casual movie nights.

I'm in love with this theater! The food is affordable, yet very tasty. It's always clean and feels upscale. The cost is similar to AMC and regal, but they offer better amenities and a luxurious feel. I love that they encourage private events and screenings. While the others do too, they seem more flexible, and it's nicer. The staff are far more professional and you can tell the company trains them well. Parking is validated. I think I also saw a bar on the lobby. I highly recommend!

I started coming to here when The Chosen Season Four released its first three episodes. It was one of the ones closest to me so I thought hey, why not? When I got there I just did know what to expect because I thought it was a regular movie theater but I soon realize that this was an elevated experience. Once in our seats, we were greeted by waiters who encouraged us to order digitally, which was pretty seamless. We got the BBQ chicken flatbread and it was delicious. I truly enjoyed getting everything from the comfort of my seat, and just being able to focus on the cinematic experience. My second visit was a solo-date to see the last couple of episodes of The Chosen Season Four and it's safe to say that I will be coming here again as I had yet another enjoyable experience. I indulged in a the wings and a side of fries with a Fanta although I couldn't finish it on my own. For $25 I really couldn't complain, the taste was ok and the crispness made it better. From the beautiful bathrooms to the hassle-free across the street parking (they validate!), Silverspot has truly turned me into the type of person to sign up for a rewards program. I truly can't wait to bring my sister here so that she can share the experience and I look forward to more solo dates here too. The tickets themselves were $19 so my total spend was about $40 and for a special treat every once in a while that is a good deal.
