Tom Johnson I love the Atlanta Braves! Have loved them since 1966. Been to countless games over the years, saw them win, and lose World Series. Spent an unfathomable amount of money taking myself, my wife, my kids, my grandkids to games and to the concession areas. Today that might have ended! My wife and I are waiting in line as of 11:02 this morning. Pretty brisk and chili outside, but we waited until 11:50 to finally get in. We walk to the clearance area and see "World Champions" hoodies marked at $15....great deal, we grabbed up 6. Others were grabbing just as many, and in many cases more. We shopped some more and picked out hats, Tee's and beads to go along with our hoodies. We wait another 30 minutes in line to get to the cash register. We told the cashier what a great deal that was on the hoodies. She hesitated and told us they rang up $65! Obviously that would be an extra $300 on my ticket and I asked to see the manager. At the same time another couple was having the same issue at the register next to me with more than 6 hoodies. The manager, Sidney, came over and listened to the cashier explain what happened, never speaking or asking me anything, and said they are $65! As she turned to walk away I called her back over and told her they were marked at $15 and that was the reason they were flying off the table. She simply said they were mismarked and said there was nothing she would do lower than $65. By this time a few people were upset and on top of that she had the sign changed and the $15 sign was nowhere to be found. My thought is if the Atlanta Braves need money that bad, that they can tell a 55 year loyal customer "I don't care", they can take the World Series trophy and put it where the sun does not shine! The manager, Sidney, did everything except come right out and call me a liar while I was attempting to explain the customer's side of the argument, and attempted to walk away 3 different times to avoid an intelligent conversation. With the day off yesterday, and a fairly late opening(1100), you would think the store would have been prepared better....maybe another sign of poor management to tie along with her lack of people skills. If she could not see from my hat, I served as a distinguished flyer in the United States Navy and I honestly did not take to kindly to her arrogance. Due to most of the items being Christmas gifts, I made the reluctant purchase of everything except the hoodies. I now have a knot in my stomach for even doing that! I want to say a very sarcastic Thank You to Sidney for ruining what should have been a very pleasant...
Read moreIf you are at a game then you have to visit the Clubhouse store to get your gear. There's a wide variety of items and it's a nice experience.
If, however, you are trying to order an item online or over the phone, you might as well hop in the car and drive down there yourself. So first say you want an item that they have advertised they have available in the Clubhouse and you live out of state. Well, you would simply call in to speak to someone to place an order. Once you call the Clubhouse it tells you the hours on weekdays, weekends, and game days, which is very helpful. Because if you call during the game day, but not during the hours, there won't be anyone to help you.
But the joke is on you! Even though they advertise hours on their automated system for game day hours there's STILL no one to answer your call. That's right, even though they have people staffed during those hours, and the gates aren't even open for the game, there's no one available to answer your call. The ONLY reason I found out they don't have anyone available to answer phone calls during game days (which is absurd in the first place, especially if the gates aren't open, I could understand it more if the gates were opened but I called four hours before the gates opened) is because I replied to the item I wanted on social media and their team replied that during game days they don't have anyone available to answer the calls. Which again, is totally false according to their automated answering machine when you call.
So the people on social media recommend to fill out an order form on their page. So you do that. They say they'll have someone reach out to you for your order or information. It's been three business days since that happened. No one has attempted to reach out to me.
And for the last straw, one of my brother's went to a game during all of this happening and looked for the item I wanted and they didn't even have the item I was looking for - or they ran out of stock. Not sure if it is going to be back in stock or when. And I can't go every single day to find out.
Highly disappointing experience. Easily one of the least professional experiences I've ever had. Basically, if you want something, or need something done, with the Braves organization - DO IT YOURSELF. They'll make sure you do all of the effort. So don't expect them to be helpful or assist you at all...
Read moreNot impressed with staff and management. They were doing a black Friday holiday giveaway where my 14yr old son and two other kids waited in line for over 2hours in the cold weather and were told they didn't qualify for the giveaway for the first 75 ppl. They were 3rd in line too! The reason they were told was they had to have an adult 18yrs or older with them. This wasn't on the website nor posted anywhere!
I went to the store myself when the kids came to me very disappointed. Jennifer, the manager, was rude to me and told me it was 1 per family, yet my kids were told it was because they didn't have an adult at all! She rudely told me that I just didn't understand (because it was 1 per family) but she didn't listen or give me the time of day to understand these kids weren't even considered at all... A good manager would listen and apologize and most of all be professional and kind. This was not my experience.
Only after my husband and brother-in-law went back and spoke to her, did they make it up to the kids. So yes, they fixed it but such a frustrating experience for the kids and to have such a rude response when I as a woman went to talk with her. I appreciate them 'fixing' the situation but really don't understand why the kids went through this in the first place and the fact that she was rude to me when initially confronted. Totally...
