It is my Nana’s birthday today, so my dad and I drove up to her place and brought lunch. We decided to try Southern Baked for desert. I picked out a peach pie made with fresh Georgia peaches, and we all had a slice with ice cream and coffee after we ate

The pie was truly remarkable. I should note that after spending 35 dollars on a pie I was expecting something special from the first bite. But that didn’t prevent my surprise at just HOW good it was.

Like any good pie, the filling was excellent. made with fresh Georgia peaches, it was flavorful and perfectly sweetened, and once warmed the peaches had just the right consistency between the crust. However, the crust was where the pie really shined. At first glance the pie’s lattice top seemed quite thick, but I soon discovered the excess was more than welcome. The crust was light and fluffy, yet somehow crisp on its exterior. It was buttery and rich, but didn’t weigh down the pie was unnecessary heft.

Update 8/25: I feel very confident in my ability to recommend this place. I've now had the chicken pot pie, pecan pie, blueberry pie, mixed berry pie, and the cinnamon rolls. All are excellent! Key Lime is next...

I experienced this for the first time at the farmer's market the other week. One bite of the peach pie was all it took. It's delicious! I really enjoyed the chocolate chess pie too. Those two are my favorites. We tried the birthday cake and buttermilk slices too. I wish I could get a slice of blackberry! I'll definitely be a returning customer whenever I need pie. There’s not enough stars to give out!! I ordered 3 sweet pies and a chicken pot pie shipped to my home for Thanksgiving. The chicken pot pie was dinner last night. I should have ordered 2 and there’s just 3 of us. It was a huge hit!

We cut the French coconut pie and there’s one piece left that I’m having for breakfast. Truly reminded me of the French coconut pies me great grandmother use to make!!! I’ve tried many over the years because it’s my favorite but none were remotely like hers This one was wonderful!!! Perfect crust… perfect custard filling and plenty of coconut!
