I visited the new location off of Paces Ferry Rd, on Dec 11, and it was amazing. This was my first massage so I didn't know what to expect. They first took my information about what I was looking for (relaxation, deep tissue, etc), as well as any previous injuries or surgeries they would need to look out for, or problem areas I needed special attention to, such as tension headaches or backaches. I was glad to know they do this, so they can avoid causing any issues with tissues that are healing, and csn know where to spend more time. The space was so calm and peaceful, with much care taken to produce relaxation. I was covered the whole time (my preference...I'm rather shy about exposing this old body), the table was really comfortable, the temperature was perfect, the scents were pleasant and not overpowering, and the music was wonderfully soothing and beautiful. The therapist welcomed me to chat or just be peaceful (I chose peace) and also welcomed feedback as to whether something was uncomfortable or really nice. They offer several types of massage therapies, including Thai Yoga and Lymphatic massage. During my session, I even got some flexibility therapy that helped with stiffness from an old injury. If you're looking for a professional, one-on-one customized experience, this is the place for you. You'll be encouraged to speak up whilst your therapist is working with you so that you can get the type of pressure that you are looking for in your problem areas, which for me is EXTREMELY important. I've been to many other different therapists before and have felt the work was "too much" or "too little" when it came to sensitive areas between my shoulder blades or towards my spine. I was visiting Atlanta and was in need of a masseuse. I found The Muscle Relaxers online. After looking up and seeing the five star reviews on it, I decided to check it out. My body felt much better after the deep tissue massage session I had with Ofelia. Ofelia has been a massage therapist for 10 years with expertise and skill in her craft. She is very professional and keeps great communication up in scheduling the appointment. I advise anyone in Buckhead or elsewhere in Atlanta to check out their website and book a session with Ofelia. If I lived here I know I would make Ofelia my message therapist. I can say it is well worth every penny I spent.
