I went in as a walk in and waited until they were able to get me in. I had no problem waiting. I even showed reference pictures and wanted to make sure they were able to do the hair cut exactly before hand. The lady that talked to me said she could and I specified that I wanted it to be layered. I grew out my hair for a while and I was finally able to put it in a pony tail and I’ve been wanting to get this hair cut for a while my hair before was not that far from the hair cut itself. I left and my hair was really short none of it matched anywhere close to what I wanted and I went home crying because of how bad my hair was. I wanted my hair to be thinner a bit but she kept taking off so much w a razor. I don’t know too much about hair but I know a razor is not the best to go when I don’t want a heavy look. I’m more upset on how my hair looked at the end and how short my hair was afterwards. I went home and immediately put coconut oil in my hair to start the growth process and once I washed that off I tried clay, spray, cream, foam all the hair products I could to try and make it work and nothing. I am so disappointed and feel so sad for my hair and the progress I had lost because she did so much w the razor. I even gestured on how I wanted my hair to blend in and it is not that. These are the reference photos I used and again my hair was not that far from it already and I mentioned that as well the second while also explaining how I...
Read moreEDIT Elizabeth reached out to me to give a heartfelt apology & a partial refund. I was asked to delete this review entirely, but I don’t believe in deleting honest reviews, as it’s disingenuous, & prospective clients deserve to have awareness of situations like these. I don’t believe in buying anyone into silence. I raised my rating from 1 star, to 3, to be more fair, since she put forth some effort.
ORIGINAL (slightly edited) REVIEW I’m beyond heartbroken, & was embarrassed to be seen out in public after this session. I’ve never felt uglier in my whole life. The pictures shown are what I asked for vs what I got. Elizabeth was decently kind, but $210 later (not counting what I had to spend to fix it,) for a bleach/color (no cut,) mildly nice only gets you so far in this economy. I came here on a recommendation from my mother, as I typically do my own hair & she wanted me to “do things the right way” by seeing a licensed professional…she was horrified to see me looking like “an orangutan.” Neither of us will be returning. If you choose to go here, they only seem to get desirable results with blonde...
Read moreWonderful salon. Comfortable and stylish. My husband and I are especially impressed with Carolina. She has a true talent for color and a feel for what is exactly right for her clients. She does not overcharge yet spends more time on my hair than any hair stylist I've ever been to. She makes absolute certain that her clients are happy with the results of her work. She's professional yet genuinely warm and fun. We have come to think of her as our friend. Besides that, I get compliments on my hair every single time I go out. I would highly recommend Carolina to anyone looking for a hair stylist who is, I swear, a magician...
